PUMPKIN ESCOBAR
I just got a bike for my 21st. I don't anything about anything when it comes to this stuff. I just copped a BMX bike, cause Im short. I ride this thing constantly, I only drive to work and school, everything else I rock out with the bike. no tricks for me though

Lew Blum
waiting for one of these to hit the shop. it will undoubtedly sit collecting dust next to the orbea and blue tri bikes. but those sram red centerpulls look nice. Where is the rear brake on this bike? are they mounting them on the chainstays like the old mountain bikes or has weight saving gotten so insane that they forgo a rear brake? NerdUnit
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It is under the BB for aerodynamics, like an old U-brake.
HESHIANDET
its funny the similarity of moronics involved in tri/tt bikes and the whole fixed 'scene'......thinghs never change. saturdays are officially my rest day if im not racing. WAYYYYYYYY too many kooks out there this morning. its getting worse.

Joker
Not sure what I was thinking but I did a 3 hour fixed ride today. Way too long. The IRO is riding nicely though. It's been perfect for what I need.

soupBDC
ILB dude thats fucking terrible. Just got back from Waves to Wine. It was supposed to rain but not a damn raincloud anywhere. 150 miles, avg 16 mph, only one flat when I ripped a sidewall and fixed it with a dollar bill. Yet another reason to always carry cash on rides.

rubbish heap two
what's the best bar tap for rainy riding? i'm running cork (or maybe it's synthetic cork) tape right now and it's slipping and providing less than optimal grip in the wet. cork tape slipping all over my bars = shitty feeling. i was thinking of going to cloth tape because it's thinner and would dry out a lot faster, does this work well in practice? whoiseuth
i need a set of track hubs. nothing is really blowing my mind. i was going to go with campy to match my crankset, but the price even at shop cost is awfully steep. i would get formulas new solid flange cup/ballers, but as of now they are only available in 36s. i need 32 x 36, as i already bought the rims. any recommendations? swedish erotica
the greatest part about bettini's victory is that this time last week, he said that he would win the worlds just in spite of the stuttgart politicians. the man is on point. Joker
His interview after the race, though in all Italian, you could tell he was being asked questions about Stuttgart's opposition to him racing at the World's. I got a few words he was saying and it was obvious that he really wanted to blow up the spot and talk mad shit but he held his composure and proved how classy a rider he really is. What I liked about his win, most of his wins actually, was that he worked in that break the whole time. He only sat in on the last kilometer because he really had no reason to work. Easily one of my favorites to watch... along with Jens Voigt. Powerful dudes.
fexo
My 2000 6-Pack: T1 Bars, Primo Chad Degroot grips, Volume ends Profile 180mm cranks, S&M pedals SNAFU Rim Job rear, Primo Monster (I think?) front other stuff probably.. Also have a Specialized Hardrock (I know, nothing special) that I'm getting back on the road. I found it abandoned with both wheels kicked to hell, but the rest was fine. And I have a 1978 Raleigh Supercourse (the orange one) that I scored at a dump a couple summers ago that I'm gonna go SS on. Yup.
NerdUnit
Easily one of my favorites to watch... along with Jens Voigt. Powerful dudes. It's amazing how small he is compared to Voigt and they both produce huge amounts power on the bike. The Squadra Azzura rolled as a team this year too, which was cool to see. I'm glad they kept Spain at bay. Those guys can't ride if it's not a thousand degrees out though so I guess no surprise.

NerdUnit
The FUJI OBEY!!!!!!!!!! SO this is the special order custom pile of shit made in cookie cutter land. Nice job applying "urban design sensibilities" to a junk bike. For real. Talk about missing the boat. A limited run of exclusive bikes from a manufacturer that churns out nothing but the numbers. The EXACT Opposite of boutique. I can see all the "cool" kids with their barenuckles and better making fun of the Obey crowd. Ha! Now the hipsters can match their bike to the backpack while rolling around with the stencil from the jeans getting up for Mr. F on every mailbox in town. http://www.hypediss.com/obey_x_fuji_limited_edition_bike $1400 is the price tag. LAME. They can't even adjust the saddle properly for the photos. No grips either. What about the brooks leather tape to match that saddle? Stem, bar, hs and post made by Fuji. Basically the cost in this bike is the Brooks saddle and the Miche cranks. Everything else they make a killing on because it is shitty low quality made in their crummy Chinese factory. $1400 can get you a relatively nice track bike if you put it together wisely. I know I'm ranting but WTF bikes are not strictly fashion. They serve a purpose, and should look good, but this is just some real garbage. It's like sweat shop Dunks or something. "Gotta get me the new color way on the Fuji Pista DiveBar." "Yeah man, I heard they have a burberry theme with the grips, toe straps and top tube protector." "Oh yeah, sounds tight." "Yeah like our jeans!" "LOL" "Yo, high five man" End Rant Now.
