I played by the rules and permitted the upstairs portion. The city started acting like little bitches. I don't remember what it was they did or said that rubbed me the wrong way anymore, but I still haven't let them in the house to do the final inspection. They called me a few times the beginning of last year. I told them I wasn't done yet and I'd be in touch. I'm not going through their bullshit again for downstairs. Gonna just do it and tell them this is how the house was when I bought it. I do all of my work up to code anyway, so it really shouldnt be a problem.

Update: downstairs is el gutto. Of course as soon as I got this MoFo half way tore up, my dryer decided it was gonna shit out on me. Why not? So I ended up rewashing all of my clothes in vinegar cuz I didn't get to them soon enough and the whole joint smelled like mildew down here. Humped them bitches up to the laundymat and paid like $5 to make my shit dry. Anyway, the laundry mat isn't in the budget. So I ordered a repair kit for the dryer for like $39. That shit came snappy to the house in about 3 days. I don't know which one of these pieces is the culprit so I'm just gonna replace all of them. Here's the challenger: FIGHT!! I ain't no repair man but I'm not sure the heating element is supposed to look all burned up like that. So anyway, about 30 minutes later this hoe is back together and blowing hot ass air again.
