KaBar2
I don't recall if I told you guys that I wrote a screenplay about tramps. (well, I did, even if I didn't tell y'all.) I pitched it to a production company a month or so ago, and the other day they called me back. It turns out that they hired a new director who specializes in cutting film budgets. They budgeted $3.5 million for a cool kid's comedy about a summer camp, and the director cut the budget to $875,000. That leaves a bunch of money left over. (Ring, ring) "Hello? Mr. KaBar? Hi this is Eddie Assistant Producer calling, just wanted to let you know we are still very interested in your screenplay..." OK, God, I am on my knees... KaBar2
No Green Light yet But if they bite, y'all will be the first to know. I have no idea to what degree they would let me have creative input. Not much, no doubt. But I would beg and plead to get hobo-tramp friends of mine hired as "technical consultants" so that it would feel authenic. Anybody ever heard of the "B-List"? Apparently some Hollywood actors who haven't made a film in a while are dropped to the B-List, and they can be hired cheaper than A-List guys like George Cloony or Eddie Murphy. First screenplay + Cheap budget = "B-List" actors, almost for certain. Assuming that the production company ever actually goes for it.
Dr. Dazzle
Eddie Murphy is like D-List now.....
fermentor666
George Clooney is probably A-List now, man. Especially once the sequal to Ocean's 11 hits and probably does good business.

Guest
Eddie Murphy is A-list for life man. He's the freakin Donkey in Shrek damnit! When John Travolta made Pulp Fiction he was about as low as you can go without hitting bottom. I havent read the script..... but for some reason..... I'm thinking Mickey Rorke. And congrats Kabar. You might want to think about contacting These Guys
