earl broclo ESQ
Don't be jealous, that really isn't that big of a collection. Even though it's currently overflowing, it's still not that big a collection. I've got friends with 10 times that. That makes me jealous. IOU
Feeling that last mix Earl. You have a knack for programming your sets. The transitions always seem to make perfect sense.
earl broclo ESQ
Thanks I appreciate that. There is no programming at all with my sets. I just grab a bunch of records and pick as I go along. I guess I have a general idea of what I want to do, but not any kind of order. I had a lot of fun playing this one though.
IOU
I don't mean pre-programmed. More about the flow and direction of the music.

find317
that tracklist was pretty nice Earl. that MAW seeline woman is a dope one out of many mediocre versions of the same track.
earl broclo ESQ
Thanks. That track is part of a compilation I bought a while ago. This is the set: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1002491 There is another more popular remix album of her's that is pretty good:
`Melinoe
Sorta offtopic Earl do you like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeE8A1gjheE Give it about a minute to get somewhere. Disregard its Japaneseness.
IOU
I know that is a cover song and all, but I swear America isn't making any interesting music anymore and we sure as hell don't appreciate a lot of the greatness that has been born by us. Example: Jazz. Big in Europe and Japan, but we don't give a fuck.
earl broclo ESQ
Mellinoe --I like that track but a lot is lost in translation for me. Another problem I have with a lot of "acid jazz" is that it sometimes sounds too polished, especially live. I like it, but it's not something I can listen to non-stop, it needs to be mixed up with other styles for me. IOU --America still is making interesting music, especially when compared to other countries. Europe and Japan have their share of mainstream pop and crap so it all kind of balances out equally. We just have a huge nation of people who like to consume crap. Off topic, but one of my favorite Japanese exports of recent years is Toe's RGB DVD. `Melinoe
Ohhhh manI have some friends who are OBSESSED with Toe. I guess I'm just weird. I'm more about music/voices in terms of sound that I just don't listen to lyrics. Probably why I've been into Japanese for a long time now. I love that song though. That's Tokyo Jihen btw. They blend in a lot of rock with jazz. It's so damn good.
