Avesism
Nor I. Saturday is going to be a mess trying to order tix via ticketmaster. I'm already surrendering to paying $250 from an online scalper. It hurts, but not too bad, because honestly, I knew this was going to happen. abcs
word. So check it out theme. If i get down for 1 night and not the other. Well. Like i said. So if i get down for 1 show and not the other. 2 of the 3 tickets im going to offer to my homeboy and his girl but you can get the other at face value. If you are interested. And like i said..> I dont have a hold yet so its no sure thing
Fondles
archive.org has like tons shows, ridiculous 60/70s were my fav times of theirs, the 80s was meh i enjoyed their country/folk sound, but i think their spacier/jammin for 14 minutes/cerebral shit was best
Avesism
Thanks for the offer, abcs. If things turn out that way, I'll gladly take that extra off your hands. I wouldn't be able to offer the same if it happened to me, though, because I only ordered one. (thought for some reason that might make my chances better)

abcs
Lotto was unkind to abcs. But I have more faith in my ability to score tickets via TM anyhow. The BluePrint How many tickets u think are left over from lotto? 1/2? Less? I'm just gonna follow the blueprint up there. At 11:55 I get all set up and 12:00:01 I click find tickets. And if that don't work I suppose it wasn't meant to be. Burn a couple raptor jebus effigies and stay my ass in Detroit where it belongs. Robert F. Kennedy Stadium on 1973-06-10 Just a great show. Avesism
Lotto was unkind here, too. Got the denial email. Thanks for the blueprint. I'm definitely going to be using it!
abcs
ukno. I know TM is trying to prevent people from doing things. Probably trying to make it harder for scalpers. Not sure why they would care since they get paid regardless of who buys the tickets but still. The multiple proxy/browser suggestion is to change your IP and in doing so disguise that you are trying to shoot multiple moves. But if you only have 1 credit card, you would have to log in on both browsers to the same TM account to process your order. Would this still work? I don't kno. I'm going to try and do it with 1 window. abcs.... not that sneaky
abcs
fuck ticketmaster... I mean i was already sayin so but i mean it extra now. It shot me down for NYE but i was able to get 100s for the 30th. Then as i'm making my shipping selection * GONE * Cancelled my reservations. oh well. that 1K that i would have spent by doing it as cheap as possible goes a lot furthur in the summer but still. Not a happy camper

Avesism
No luck here either, as expected. Planning for things to go like this makes it sting less, but it still sucks. Summer tour>Fall tour for the fun factor, for sure. I was just gonna write that if I wasn't relatively close I wouldn't even consider going now, but I'd be lying. abcs
Im still pissed. I was in class. Had 5 people on computers all at 12 exact looking for tickets. What im extra sick about is the tickets i did get and lost for no apparent reason Im troubled by this. Only way i go now is by myself and while i kno i would have fun still. Its super lame. I was fronting the tickets to begin with to my boy and his girl I can do that at 60 a piece but i dont have enough credit to put up for 6 tickets at 200 or therabouts. Not without paying my card down some Hollywood Palladium on 1971-08-06 A better Audience recording from 1971 would be hard to find that hard to handle is great too pigs the man
abcs
Im glad im not giving my money to Ticketmaster. Never fuck with Ticketmaster. Trifling ass Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster and the horse they rode in on can take a long walk off a short pier. Lump of coal in the stocking top tip. what astonishes and never ceases to amaze me. On any given week of the year the Dead sells out MSG 8 shows in a row just like that. Im looking at 88 right now. Then they do 4 at the Spectrum. They make occasional 1 night stands but mostly it was 3 shows per city and the boys would flat out camp out in NYC. They would do the same for the home crowd too
abcs
Live at Viola Lee Blues Reahearsals on 1966-01-01 Lots of chatter. I like to hear it. Jerry just kinda directing traffic ahahah pigpens a conspiracy
FREIGHTYONE
I'm going to see the New Riders of The Purple Sage in March with my Dad, should be awesome. They seem to be the only thing I have to add to this thread. Give me suggestions on what to check out, I feel like I'm missing the boat with the Dead. The only shit I really know is Workingman's Dead and Live Dead, of which the bluesier shit really appeals to me. Drop some knowledge on me yall. As far as Phish shows go, I've been to a few in the mid-late 90's, definitely would NOT pay that much money to see them on NYE. Good times for sure, but dealing with the hassle of all the other NYC NYE bullshit popping off, is it even worth it?

shai
Drop some knowledge on me yall. IMO anything live pre-1973 and studio stuff till 1975 is a safe bet. After that it's progressively hit or miss but I hear there were some intense moments on the last tour (1995). Cool that you're going to see New Riders. Where's that happening? Avesism
No Brent love shai? Caman! So last night my boy dragged me out to see Ace Freeley. What was interesting was there were a good handful of Deadheads in the audience. I got to taking to one dude who had toured from the early 80's through the early 90's. Dude knew his Dead in and out, which is always good conversation, but what I found most interesting from what he had to say was his method for getting concert tickets. The dude explained that he used to work for ticketmaster and from what he claims, a fail safe way to get tickets to whatever show you want to go to is to start checking ticketmaster.com and/or calling them about two weeks ahead of when tickets are supposed to go on sale. He said that they release tickets to all concerts early but don't announce it. From what this guy was telling me, that's how he guarantees himself good seats at any show and no chance of getting shut out. Taken with a grain of salt, but I'm definitely going to try this for the next tickets I need.

abcs
theres a jam segment i really want to hear stuck in my head. abcs is fucking tormented. Trying to pull the show out of the air is hard enough and there is a reasonably good chance its just called jam somewhere in archive close 1. Found it !!!!! abcs
Can't say theres any songs i dislike. I have favorite performances like anybody and I need to do a better job of documenting where they are located. Probably just use Itunes for the database it is and further document my favorites into Textedit lists. Im starting to consider a new car. At first I was thinking 2001 prelude H22a vtec but i already kno... Probably spend a bunch of money making it go fast and lose my L again You can sleep in a Honda Element. I like to get out of town. Seen some pretty legit homemade fold up and out platform bed configurations on the internet and Utube. I like to camp but it can be a pain in the ass and its not always possible Really despise hotels. Don't want to introduce bedbugs into my life. That being said. There is definitely something about the Element i dont like. Its not the appearance so long as its 1 solid color. Maybe its the wheels. Slam it on some 22s. Only person i knew to have one was in a class with me and thought she knew something all the damn time. Got on my nerves. Maybe thats it.
shai
They're weird looking but they're awesome car-type things. If I had new car money (and a license) I'd consider something like that...seems like it would be a good touring vehicle.
abcs
kinda what i thought. Good ride to tour and everything else. Probably handles well in the snow and looks easy to clean. I has no license either but im working on changing that.
abcs
The Palladium on 1977-04-30 great setlist brought their a game.
