Hua Guofang
Yes and this Modus IPA is delish too, thx!
Hua Guofang
Had always been put off trying this beer given its silly name and ugly label. However we all know the old cliche, never judge a beer by its label. This is a great beer, less fruity on the hops and just a touch maltier than most other modern and Americanised IPAs. Will have again.
Hua Guofang
And also loving my new schooey, bought for 50c from a second hand shop in Ulladulla.
Hua Guofang
Potentially the best IPA ever. Local CBR brewer. Cool tin too.

Hua Guofang
Average on pretty much every level.
theprotester
Maybe relax on the red ales for a minute. Are you a saison fan ?
Hua Guofang
Why would I want to do that? Actually, I am. I'm enjoying the hoppier IPAs - or as otherwise described as American Pale Ales - at the moment as they suit the hot days a little better. Also had a bunch of Coopers Green to work my way through. theprotester
Haha, no reason. Just remind me of myself when I get fixated on a style. I found it was good to make it a journey through similar styles and making note of what it was I enjoyed about them. Although people didn't really like talking to me about beer outside of brewers. Hua Guofang
Yeah, I think my red fixation has started to subside, to be honest. The Irish reds that my wife bought me for Xmas are still there and I'm buying IPAs (poor thing thinks she bought me stuff that I don't like). Will hold onto the remaining reds until cooler days and have them with stew and stuff. Getting back into home brewing in '17. I've dabbled before but only used extract from a tin whilst playing around with hops, yeast and sugars. That's where I'll start off again but with the intention of doing my own mash etc. when I move into the new place and can set up for the long term. CBR has a strong brewing seen with a big home brewers club that I'll join, looking forward to it.
theprotester
Yes. Do that. Let me live vicariously through you. If you ever have any questions or what not don't be shy. I pretty much skipped extract brews and went straight to full grain mash, but that was just my lucky circumstances. While my passion for consumption has left me the passion for the process is still alive and well.
Hua Guofang
As plain as beer gets.

Boodah
Downed a bottle of Tito's last night and this afternoon. In no shape to draw, so I'm drinking beer, in the shower.
One Man Banned
Kombucha... beer? Aren't beer shits bad enough? This just opened up a whole new level....
Boodah
I maintain the fact that if it is above 7%, then kombucha is allowed, especially if it is a bourbon ale.
One Man Banned
Drinking the last of these now. On the surface it appears like a novelty beer but the added spices have little difference from a lot of winter brews. Think people actually put chocolate sprinkles and some cannoli crumbs on the head when they pour it, that's too much for me.
theprotester
Putting dessert toppings on beer is uncool. And I know cool.

enteruncreativename
Consolation Prize from Hobo Brewing Company isn't all that good of a drink and that's being assumed that you don't LOVE fruit in your beer.

Hua Guofang
Yeah, there's a real sour thing going these days. Lots of people are doing pucker brews, sometimes as a siason, or with fruit and stuff. They're quality but if I'm spending $12 a pint I think I'd rather stick to a hefty IPA or something similar. Hua Guofang
MO's session IPA. It's fine but I prefer their full IPA, more bitter, full flavored and syrupy.
theprotester
While I regurlarly sessioned IPA. Every single day for about ten years. I still am vehemently opposed to IPA and session appearing on a brew. Good day sir.
