It builds self-esteem when I am down. For a tiny second. Then I remember they are fresh over-the-border and have low standards in beauty. I would have probably ended up getting wasted and mad. And instead of walking the three blocks back to my family's house..walked the three blocks to my ex's apartment and kicked the door until he let me come in and pass out with a cat friend. I got this idea that I was going to quit drinking until I am stable in life. And then start drinking again. And destroy all my hard work to get ahead.
