the.crooked
I think I like that first one most. The more solid and less busy background makes the forms on the bottom more striking. I would loose the circles just above the forms on the left. Perfect circles are damn near impossible to convey, but otherwise they tend to look somewhat sloppy and out of place. Just a thought. JDI_
You would be cool, if you would do like a rotating installation on a chalkboard in my apartment. Jus sayin. If I had the time... that could be fun.

EastSwaggings
experimentation. abstraction isn't something i have ever studied much, but these were created with a different process then my normal work. thoughts?
Bojangles
Never was a fan of figures being mixed into abstract. Not knocking you, just saying. Keep experimenting though!
EastSwaggings
i think on the contrary. i feel that most abstraction is, or should be, extensions of reality, or in an individualistic sense, of the artist's reality. frankly, i don't consider figures being a mix into abstraction but a further reach of what can be abstracted. but that is solely my opinion. i may post some more later. guku
Eastswaggings, your work is so mean and aggressive. It is severely obscured. Your work is reminiscent of kline( even though his lines came from obscuring a chair) and wols. .. .I'm not critiquing it in the measure of good or bad, because there is no such thing as good or bad art....I am merely telling you what I sense when I look at it. ..thank you for the experience. I enjoyed them. Stylism - I like that movement . ...

guku
You said something about going against your normal work thoughts, or normal concepts. What did you mean by that? Were you opposing yourself intentionally to see what type of creation would result from such a conflict.? ...or was it just a natural transition away from your natural form? schism
eastswaggins, i really like both of those but i think the bottom one is workin better. the touches of red and grey are really workin with the abstracted figure, and the varied line weights help make it more... readable? you should keep going with that process, i dont think the burned paper is really necessary though bojangles and poesia, bangin as always
