Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

A couple of thoughts:

RIP to everyone of course, but special shouts to Professor Liviu Librescu - man is a fucking hero, for real...

A friend of mine hit me up this mornin before work an we were talking on IM - he thought the media replaying this shit constantly is gonna encourage copycats...

I know this: replaying this shit every 10 min is exactly what we SHOULDN'T be doing. Paula Zahn or Wolf Blitzer or whoever the fuck shoulda said when it got released,

"Look, we are playin this shit, ONCE, at 8 pm. Then we will not replay it until 9 pm, where we will play it once again. Then you get your last chance to see it at 10 pm until we replay it tomorrow morning. You know why folks? Cause for once we took the fuckin hairspray off our brain and realized replaying this shit gives this sick little bastard a forum he doesn't deserve, but we also feel it is news. So we are gonna play it, but it'll be limited play, and if you are really pressed on seeing it, DVR it or hop on the internet or whatever the fuck."

At least the students got it right: "Editor’s Note: This is one of the final articles planetblacksburg.com will publish in regards to Cho Seung-Hui. He has dishonored the special community that is Virginia Tech. After Wednesday, April 18, 2007, his name will not be mentioned again by this student media organization." src: planetblacksburg.com

I really wanna know what the fuck happened to this kid when he was younger, this shit doesn't just happen overnight.

Unless I missed it, all those pics DON'T have him with the words "Ismail Ax" written on his arm....

Went to Hooters last nite wit 3 buddies and we all went to Tech... my roomate made a great point. So apparently when this kid went into the classrooms, he'd cap the teacher and then start going person by person in the front row... and who usually sits at the front row? The smartest, the brightest, the most willing to participate [it may be stereotypical but in my experience it has been mostly true] - so IMO this makes things even worse....

That's all for now I guess... hokie hope is tomorrow, meaning everyone in the nation is encouraged to wear orange and/or maroon...

RIP to the fallen

we are virginia tech

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

How this kid was able to go out and just buy a gun... JUST WALKED OUT AND BOUGHT A GUN... HE WAS IN ADMITTED TO THERAPY AND SHIT!!! THEY KNEW HE WAS A FREAKIN RISK!

In CT he would of never gotten a hand gun it takes 5 weeks just to get your permit and go through classes. Then when you go to get a gun they do backround checks and if you were admitted or posed some type of risk no dice. They are pretty strict up here I guess...

VA just needs to get their shits together.

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

Legally, he was not allowed to obtain a gun, because he had been involuntarily institutionalized at a psychiatric hospital. That bars a person from buying a gun. He lied on his application, and because psychiatric records are often hard to obtain, he passed the background check.

Better background checks for motherfuckers?

anyone?

Someone show me proof of that Swedish gun law. I want to read it.

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

Wait why do I live in a facist state? Is it because we care about who posesses guns and feel if you want to posses a pistol you should go through a saftey to figure out how to use it responisbly according to the law? To make sure everyone who gets a pistol legally knows what the laws are? Doing backround checks on people to see if they are crazy or criminals and if so not giving them lethal weapons (mel gibson) If the state is holding us down and oppressing us in this way I say its a good thing.

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

Correct me if I am wrong, isn't Virginia where gun shop owners were raffaling off guns to people who bought new guns, just to spite the Mayor of New York City? The Mayor was targeting VA because alot of the crimes commited with guns in NYC were commited with guns bought in VA. Everyone has their own veiws on the gun laws in our country, but this is the perfect "I told you so", for the mayor of New York towards Virginia gun stores. Just my opinion.

He was not involuntarily commited he was only evaluated and ordered by a judge to attend an outpatient program.

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

Apparently so. Ask Sweden... where it's mandatory for every household to have a weapon and violent crime barely exsists.

what the fuck are you talking about? please share your source of information.

sure people have guns in sweden, but mostly on the countryside, used for hunting.

if you want a handgun, you have to join a shooting club, they run background checks on you (not some half-assed check they ran on the s-korean kid), plus you need at least one referral from a member.

of course there are illegal weapons too, and violent crime, but not to the same extent as in USA. and i'm sure crimerates would increase the same speed as weapons.

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

i think most of you are asking the wrong questions. i don't know how gun laws are even relevant. it's absurd. cars cause millions of deaths each year, and no one is saying

"oh, duh let's not have anymore cars".....seriously dumb to believe that gun laws need to change simply because of one secluded and rare incident.

some questions i think i should be asked are:

why does the Bush administration have a list of everyone who has ever used anti-depressants?

why was the police told to "stand down" and not go into the school?

why does the killers sister, brother work for the State Dept. under Condeliza Rice?

"A State Department spokesman said Sun Cho works as a contractor specializing in personnel matters." --according to the washington post.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/18/AR2007041800162_4.html

Why is his sister head of big contracting firm in iraq?

why was there drills, bomb threats the week before?

Why are we not told that the killer was in ROTC, military?

why were all NASA, CIA programs removed from VT Tech website?

Reports from November 2005 confirm that the CIA was active in operating recruitment programs based out of VA Tech. Several professors from VA Tech are involved in government programs linked with NASA and other agencies.

how did he kill and injure so many people with two handguns?

"I'm dumbfounded by the number of people he managed to kill with these weapons," said Mesloh, "The only thing I can figure is that he got close to them and he simply executed them."

Mesloh said the killer performed like a trained professional, "He had a 60% fatality rate with handguns - that's unheard of given 9 millimeters don't kill people instantly," said Mesloh, stating that the handguns Cho used were designed for "plinking at cans," not executing human beingshttp://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/april2007/190407mindcontrolled.htm

and, finally, this picture was on wikipedia and then taken off, it shows a supposed cho in a marine's uniform:

Re: VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE

I stopped posting in this thread until you put that out.

So many people are retorting out of emotion and uninformed

pre-judment about gun laws, news casts, and how to prepare

in the future... But I just want to know why we have heard so

little from this guys family. Same thing happened when the

Bin Laden's were escorted in Private Jumbo Jets back to

the Middle East less than 12 hours after 911. No one in

the states could even get close to a boarding terminal

and they get shuttled of instantly. Where is this kid

coming from... I don't think he was ordered by the

government to do any of this... But I bet he had

personal firsthand knowledge of, from his family,

things that lead to him to hate enough to do

this sort of thing.

What about his family?
