Milk Grenades
Can someone help me please....I've managed to make it here using only my tab and arrow keys. The USB plugin for my cordless mouse is broken, I have a standard mouse that I plugged back in after restarting my computer, but my computer is still not detecting a mouse. I went to the control panel and can get to the mouse properties, but I don't know how to change it back to my standard mouse...

1988
Can anyone recommend a good computer from about $500 to 600? I don't think good ones come in that price range... But I could easily be mistaken. It may be a decent start up cost if youre building one yourself.

Mauler5150
OK, I remember asking on here before about recording from my video camera to my computer, but I only have Nero 7 Premium, and when I goto capture video to hard drive and put my camera on Network setting via USB, The comp detects the camera but asks if I have a manufacturer disk for the device. I don't have a disk otherwise I would have no dramas. I have downloaded the diver from the Canon website for my MVX20i, but when I goto install it from the setup.exe program, it comes up with an error, and the other files I try to intall say there is an error with the OS/ OSX. I am lost here, can anyone help me??
Mauler5150
I get a WIA driver for windows XP not found message when running the setup.exe program. What is this and where do I find it??
Mississippi Mud
You're doing it through USB? You can't download video from a MINDV camera with USB it's not quick enough. You have to do it through Firewire. You can download pictures through a USB but that's it.
Mauler5150
Yeah, I just found out that is the case with my camera from a table on their website. Now I am pissed off because I have to go and buy a cable. Any idea as to what a firewire cable is worth?? Or should I just google it? Thanks for the quick reply EBPH. Mississippi Mud
$36 US Edit: and make sure your computer has a firewire port, or go buy a firewire PCI card for like 30 dollars.
Mauler5150
Damn that is steep. Guess I am not burning the vid of me and the ex onto DVD anytime soon. My comp has a Firewire port, maybe I might be able to hookup one from a mate or something.
Mississippi Mud
Oh yes you are. 36 dollars ain't shit. You can probably order them for less... That video better be on my harddrive in like one day.
Mauler5150
Nah man, couldn't do it. I have political aspirations one day. Can't let a tape out like that. Maybe I could send you a screencapture once it is done? (with my face blurred out of course!!) If I could capture from a VCR to my hardrive, I could be 2 scenes away from a 5 scene movie. But damn, I don't know how to do that either.
