I don't really want to wear anything with 12ozProphet plainly printed on it because I'm afraid republican death squads would come and burn our village down.

sure there's a downside, but the upside is all the ass that gets thrown your way everytime you leave the house wearing it.

CONDEMNED!

I'll give it a few months...

The new site is looking great. Kudos to everyone who did their part putting it together! The Joker prints are sick, as are the Vaughn Bode prints! A lot of heart and soul has been put into the whole 12oz community and I guess all I can do is say thanks... And maybe buy a tshirt or something...

ok ok, mister mang has got us. it doesnt cost 22 dollars to print a shirt. as a matter of fact, you can probably go to a local shirt shop and get tshirts printed for 5-10 bucks each. but the 12oz shirts dont come from some cut throat screen printer pullin ink in his garage and using knotched 2x4's for drying racks. I've had mine since we first started carrying them and the only signs of wear on it are from me being careless with a sharpie. you get what you pay for, and these ARE quality shirts. they arnt the shit you buy on the corner that might last you one season and then you dont wanna be seen in them cause the ink is cracked or the color is faded. (i have several skate shirts and shirts from yrb that fall in both of those areas) It costs money for quality. 12oz has always been known for its quality so putting out a product that is gonna be some shit that can be done in a basement isnt what we do.

i could be wrong but this doesnt look stitched tag in here doesnt appear to say fruit of the loom or hanes her way.

besides that, no one said you have to buy a shirt, we're just asking that you buy something to show some support for the site. help it start to pay for itself.

you want to give some one a break, give raven a break, hes been paying for this place for a really long time and will probably never even break even on it. so lets think of it as if 12oz were a paid subscription site, much like a porno site or whatever. looks like you registered in febuary 2002, so its 2005 now, basicly thats 34 months. take those 22 bucks and divide it by 34 and you end up with 0.65 per month. not that bad for the amount of time you've spent on here, and on top of that you'll get a shirt.

the average price for a "brand name" shirt these days seems to be 20 - 25 bucks...i'd rather support something like 12oz..then something like "Polo" which really doesn't need my support..

getting tags embroidered costs money..sending all that stuff to a stiching house to get assembled costs money..multicolor prints cost money, and i'm sure the shirts those are printed on cost money too...

if they printed XXL shirts..this fat fuck would be ordering up a couple...just to show support...

get on it guys..haha

Those types of replies completely confuse me. When I go out to shops, I rarely see printed t-shirts for less than $22 - $24 even from nobody companies pushing questionable quality. Living in NYC and checking out shops around here, t-shirts in the $32 - $40 range is pretty typical and hardly something that would make you think twice, and even then quality can be a couple notches from perfect.

Seriously, where do some people live that $22 would be considered expensive?!

Some examples:

Triple 5 Soul $52 - $48

Common Wealth Stacks $24

Ecko $24 - $38

Akademiks $26 - $38 (not counting sale items)

*not to ride my own jock, but I'd bet the production/print quality of our shirts at least rivals, if not surpasses, the quality of any of those linked above.

whether the graphics compete, is subjective, but... not to mention that our shirts are printed in extremely limited quantities as well, meaning you won't catch them on the clearance rack of marshall's or tj maxx a couple months after they drop.

^Precisely why I don't buy any of those shirts either. Well, that and because they're usually ugly as hell. A $30 t-shirt, no matter what level of illness, is not worth it.

$22 is a good price. It's bordering on expensive for me (shirts are $18-20 here), but these things are so quality they're worth every penny, and the money's going into something I care a lot about.

I can see why 22 is ok if it's supporting a good cause like 12oz. I won't argue on here why I think paying something like $40 for a t-shirt is retarded. I'm just used to paying $5 for a good quality screened shirt.. but that's a whole different story...

Thanx for the support,

Mr.Mang, 5$ dollar quality screenprinted shirts?! seriously, post a link or something as i'm curious.

In europe skate-tees and brands of that kind sell 20-45 euros so for the quality the 12oz shirts offer i'd say the price is close to cheap in my eyes.

I spent more than $5 on the blanks we used, even before they were private labeled or printed. i believe anyone who's bought or seen these shirts can attest to the fact that they truly are of supreme quality and far better than most of what you see in stores.

Regardless, we're not forcing anyone to buy, and in fact are not catering to kids that are content in wearing second hand clothes, or promo shirts they get free somewhere.
