I believe Mercer is correct on the material. That photo just happened to be one of the best I found showing the lines and facets of the sculpture.

“A post-industrial Rococo master, Kris Kuksi obsessively arranges characters and architecture in asymmetric compositions with an exquisite sense of drama. Instead of stones and shells he uses screaming plastic soldiers, miniature engine blocks, towering spires and assorted debris to form his landscapes. The political, spiritual and material conflict within these shrines is enacted under the calm gaze of remote deities and august statuary. Kuksi manages to evoke, at once, a sanctum and a mausoleum for our suffocated spirit.”

~ Guillermo del Toro

Rad.

If you haven't already seen it:

Amon Tobin ISAM live

After seeing ISAM live, listening to the album (even deep in headphones) just isnt enough.

Wish they would release a live set on Blue Ray, I know the box set will have a DVD but ....

Was almost tempted to go to Coachella just to see it again.

Need to make it up to LACMA to see that Metropolis II sculpture.

dude's an old white guy that rides around on the el drawing pictures of people. the clown paintings are on felt which make em extra classy. the flicks definitely don't do it justice.
