Philth215
i like the escalator picture a lot... im always tempted to take pictures in the most random places, especially in public
ourladyqueenofsorrows
Taking pictures in random places is the best. That's what it's all about for me. Aside from the self-portraits that I do, nothing is ever planned. And thanks Philth215, I'm glad you like the one of the escalator. --edited for a grammar mistake--
photoflashfocusrecord
finally got some film developed today. i'm going to make a black and white post tonight, and will probably make a color post tomorrow. constructive criticism is always welcome. thanks. Thankfully it was all pictures of stationary objects and the lighting conditions were almost the same. Good thing it didn't happen later though, because my best pic was of a building that they have since knocked over. -fuse.
MrChupacabra
the other day i finished a roll that has sat in my camera untouched since august or september, but now i don't have the slightest fucking clue where it is. coat pocket? my car? friends car? somewhere in my room? who fucking knows. coffeedependency
he took that with a rebel xt, which has very low noise. 1600 is even useable with noise reduction software.
-Rage-
Nice stuff guys. photoflash... great shots. So, my Polaroid 250 died on me this weekend, so I didn't get any Polaroids... here's some digital crap instead.
SteveAustin
what happened to the 250? it just won't work? MrChupa... Here's the other raspberry shot. Its looking a little dark on screen. Messed up and had the background more in focus than the raspberries. Learning curve on the medium format. Also tried trimming the border off on it. I use it a few times a month and this time the shutter wouldn't stay open (I was trying to use the bulb effect). This is the camera that I modified from the dead 4.5v battery to accomidate a 9v. So naturally, I thought the 9v I had in there was dead. Bought some new 9v's, threw it in.. nope. Still not working. So, I'm stumped.</s> Umm.. ok. Just tried it again and now it works. Maybe it was a loose pos/neg connector. Dubya Tea Eff.
ourladyqueenofsorrows
Those are really good posts photoflashfocusrecord. I really like those last two. I need to get my non-digital camera working again so I can get some good black and whites. The ones you posted are definetely inspiring. photoflashfocusrecord
thanks a lot for the feedback. here are a few of the better color shots. good work from everyone, as always. i'm really feeling the shot of the hands, rage. the subtle rim light on ese's shot is fire, and that rasberry polaroid transfer is way beyond my capabilities. keep it up. Philth215
the first 2 are my camera at 50 iso, the second 2 show noise at 400 iso(on my camera) i dont know why im showing everyone this. i gets its because im wondering what the best way to reduce noise is??. the last one i took the other night
MrChupacabra
SA, You said its looking a bit dark on the screen and i'm curious if it has the same intense contrast as the other one? shoot me a pm if you want to keep the clutter out of the thread. JJC
Okay, I just nabbed an used nikon 50mm f/3.5 manual macro for 50 bucks. Bitch has no depth of field whatsoever! I think I'm going to spend the day fagging it up and shooting flowers. Should be a gas.
Philth215
i was thinking and since im not one to talk (i know i contribute just as much as of the grey screen as anyone else) that we should try to post at least one picture for every comment made on here. i mean, i know i came into this thread not even a month ago, but its just an idea.. it doesnt even have to be anything special , any picture is better than none.. shit, you could even post other peoples pictures as long as you give the right credit.. just to make the thread more interesting.. once again its only an idea, let me know what you guys think.... just a random picture i took of something my friend did :

ColorPurple
how did you get the different colored pictures like that...i tried a method of my own that worked well kinda like that but using clear packaging tape over the lens and coloring it the color of choice with sharpie....but the images arent as clear...and what kind of polaroid camera is that on your tripod....
-Rage-
See the picture above the famed colors? That's what I use. Buy any color posterboard hang it from a clip on a wall. Point a few lights in it's direction, but be careful not to cast a shadow of yourself, tripod or camera. Then snap away. Take notice though, if you're trying this with Polaroids, be prepared to use A LOT of film, just to get the colors the way you want. I spent 70+ exposures and I have only 30 or so that are presentable. *also note: colors like grey and brown are almost impossible to capture with Polaoird film. Grey usually seems to come out almost purplish and brown almost always has a red tone to it. It sucks. The camera is a Polaroid Sun AutoFocus 660.
