Tails0nE Posted April 13, 2021 Share Posted April 13, 2021 Recently thought about getting a lil cheap disposable camera to shoot the shit with and to help get me out the house a bit when I totally forgot my girl came up on a camera a while ago.. Sears/Mamiya 1000mx came with an extra lens and everything.. but to be honest, I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing and any knowledge I do have is from high school photography class that I got kicked out of.. anybody got any tips/tricks/film recommendation so I can go test this lil guy out..? 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think I’m going to get a film camera to have a mess around with abs I also have fuck all knowledge aside from a college course I dropped out of about 18 years ago 😂 There’s a bunch of good YouTube channels around film stuff, off the top of my head the ones I like watching are GrainyDays, Matt Day and PhotoCinematica Not sure if they help much with the technical side of things but they make good looking photos so helps me find the motivation to go wander round and point my camera at stuff. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm assuming the layout of the land is such that there's nothing around for a distance allowing for those floor to ceiling windows? Looked at something a while ago about lands in Western states where there's enough open space to do something like that, no concerns that someone nearby is going to see into your place, pretty cool. Been a blast to shoot with it, just sent a bunch of film off to the lab so hopefully there are a couple decent shots on their way back to me. The weatherproof ones are the Olympus MJU & MJU2 I think, the MJU2 is quite pricy these days as they’ve got a bit of hype about them… def worth picking up if you can snag one for cheap though!
