the rumors are true, i'm made of durable plant matter. do hope this roller pole lasts for at least the two spots i've been sitting on ... hmmm. thanks for the heads up. :alarmclock: :confettiball:saturday/ happy birthday united states/ the FOURTH OF JULY :confettiball: woke up and made coffee. also baked these for a party i was going to that night. lightly gross grocery store pre-cut ones but they were on clearance and no one eating them would care you guys are used to these photos at this point so you know what i'm walking to do was a tunnel spot, a nice one. i found some stuff from 1969, old neighborhood paintbrush graffiti (didn't flick, will in the future). i love stuff like that. it starts to sprinkle a little bit, which doesn't bother me. then the thunder begins ... and the lightning ... and the really hard rain. i'm standing in a bottleneck, a very narrow drainage tunnel. the water goes from 2 inches to 8 inches, and my situation changes FAST. the water stains on the walls were up to my waist, the water levels were rising and the rain was getting harder. did get the fuck out of there before it got any worse. took refuge under a bridge you know in the cartoons when someone's having a bad day and cars drive by and drench them with road water? that happened like 5 times. luv too :artpalette::artpalette: precisely how i felt during the trip back to my apartment got a text, my plans fell through and people were instead headed somewhere in the country that i couldn't get to. so i made black bean burgers (eggs, breadcrumbs, beans) and did some other cookin' :eggplant::eggplant::eggplant: watched some boardwalk empire. it was ok. later got kinda bored of watching tv and decided to go painting a little, just a cutty spot or two that i wanted, maybe see/hear some fireworks. it was really really fucking humid. sweaty oner --> -

this is dee-cee, nation's capital. our city has a pez from the 90's and i'm mostly sure it's that one. friday: woke up early (for me based on the night before) because i had another piece planned i will have cancer within 5 years and it will be ironlak's fault timbs as boot camp said i did a piece that came out really weird. anarchy sprays came home, cleaned up, joined some friends for dinner. look at this fuckstick: ON THE WAY HOME I FOUND A 20FT ROLLER EXTENSION SOMEONE WAS THROWING OUT it doesn't fit in my room but i kept it anyway. life is dope. -

i did the whole holiday weekend, but it's bedtime so i'll go one day at a time. :seat: went to work as usual. by luck, i got one of the oldest cars on the metro system - i think 1000 - 1001 were the first mated pair ever delivered, 40ish years ago. these also rock because they have air conditioning that's way too fucking cold, i love it. got out of work kinda early and was headed home when someone jumped in front of a train a few stops away and the whole system shut down. i hate sitting in trains + breathing recycled air if i can avoid it so i left and decided to wander a bit. snacks rule everything around me love this pile of bridges. i have a piece not far from here in a place where a bum lives ... stood in like 6 inches of mud to paint it. he showed up drunk and pissed when i came back there to finish (i ran out of outline the first time). when he burst through the woods like 25 feet away i started packing, and he made like he was gonna rush me, but tripped and fell face-first into the mud. the sound a body makes when it goes into the mud is great. PEZ naa tags all around here beating the buff, 15-20 years old. eptic had come through here since my last visit to this place. his work is cool. toured roosevelt island got on the train, went home, ate, etc. then went to :artpalette::artpalette:. did an ok piece, solo'd since my friends were getting high that night instead. it was a nice night but fucking humid, i can't wait for fall. was standing next to a rotting dead animal (deer?) the whole time and only realized when i was starting my outline. "so that's what that smell is..." had a frosty post-piece pellegrino :snowflake: -
pretty much what POZ said, exactly: so i fight my irritation and misunderstanding in life both of these ways. outright anger has never been my thing, but bitter cynicism is. i will find an excuse to think and say that everything is shit, all the time. this isn't really the case and makes you into quite a miserable person to talk to. my exercise is walking and painting. relentlessly. i walk 15-25 miles/week. it's tiring, i love it, especially when the weather is ok. walking and writing go together. i've been vocal about this before but graff has helped tremendously with my sobriety. it exhausts me physically and creatively and (if i'm doing a big piece i'm invested in) emotionally. i don't have much energy left to hate afterwards. the mind is harder to change. it's taken a lot of interactions with people to convince me that they're not all bad. it's taken a lot of listening to people with tougher demons than i have to realize that i am not really all that worth getting upset about when something doesn't go my way. that's also a warped view of things, but it works for me.
