  9. it's illegal to for a former employer to talk bad about you if a new employer calls and ask about you. all the old employer can say is "yea he worked here" they cant say why u got fired or even if u did get fired. they cant say "he came into work late everyday and stole my yogurt from da fridge even after i wtore my name on it" even if u did do that, they cant legally say it! all they can do is acknoledge you worked there.
  10. well its an entry level position, i took it as a part time to help me bring in $700 a month extra in my pocket. and since im on hourly pay not flat rate, i get paid more than minimum wage, but not double that. flat rate, anyone can make from $17/hr to like $40/hr depending if your an journeyman, or whatever. so im just trynna find out if this double minimum wage pay is true or not.
  11. maybe sum1 can help me wid out a question... if i work at an auto shop as a tech, and i use my own tools, am i supposed to get paid double the minimum wage? as compared to if i use their tools, then they can pay me watever da fuk dey want. anyone know anything bout this?? the service writer at my job told me its CA law, but i cant find a website to back that up.

  17. came across this... seems like nissan wants to implement this... http://www.motorauthority.com/news/design/paramagnetic-paint-changes-color-at-the-touch-of-a-button/ One of the hardest decisions when picking a new car is choosing the right color but the day when cars will be available in multiple colors could be here sooner than you think. Scientists have developed a new coating called ‘paramagnetic’ paint that has the ability to change colors at the touch of a button. One carmaker looking into the technology is Nissan, which has already developed a self-healing paint. Before the vehicle is painted, a special polymer containing the special ‘paramagnetic’ iron oxide particles is applied to the car’s body. An applied electric current then adjusts the spacing of small crystals within the iron oxide particles and therefore affects their ability to reflect light and change color. The process is perfect for metal objects like cars because a continuous small current is needed to maintain the desired color. When the vehicle is switched off, the car returns to a default color of white. The coating has the ability to reproduce any color visible to the human eye and it takes less than a second to change the entire car. The first commercial applications could be on the market as early as 2010.
