My girl is about a half an inch shorter than me. When she wears heals she is a little taller. This has come been discussed on the ounce before and if I recall correctly dating taller girls makes some on the board feel inferior, or "bitch made". I could see this being more of an issue for shorter guys. I have no problem with my situation, I like long legs and I like my girl for reasons other than her body as well.

The recent discourse over the beating to death of a 16 year old kid in Chicago has me wondering where snitching and doing the right thing meet if ever. So, have you ever called the cops? I have one time. I was at a friends house when this kid showed up with a gun. He had mental issues and was convinced that I had stolen from him (which I had). I looked over the balcony and saw that he was not bullshitting about having a gun as it was in his hand and he was shouting for me to come out. I loaded old girls dads shotgun and went to the top floor of the house. I could hear him trying to knock down the door and shouted to him that I was going to call the law which I did, he split before they showed. I later contacted his parents and they removed the gun from his room. This is set in the suburbs. So, was I a snitch in doing that or was that the right thing to do?

I have not watched the video. I do not think that it is okay to kill people in street fights. I witnessed a fight once where one kid hit the other with a skate board and knocked him down, once the kid was down the other talked some shit kicked him a couple times and walked away. If the situation had been different and instead he had started splitting his skull and killed him would that be a stop snitching situation?

Lets start talking politics until this has to be moved to crossfire. Where is the stop snitching crew at? These guys were just doing their thing in the streets so it should stay there right?

What this country need to do is start re-rehabilitating prisoners with the tax payer dollar instead of funneling all the money into private prison contractors and guard unions with too much power. What this country need is jobs to elevate those living in abject poverty to a place where they can provide for themselves and live a life of simple dignity. This will in turn do more for the educations system than any other action could even come close to. What this country does not need is ovens. It is close enough to a fascist state already.

DAO is approaching 20 thousand posts. I think we should throw a party for him. Like make a thread and just have fools try and take him out in semi pointless arguments one after another with a poll or something to determine win percentages.

I will say that sometimes the ounce can be pretty fucking cool. I made a thread about some serious shit regarding my custody trial and I got offers of free legal support from three different members and gestures of emotional support from others that in a odd way were really helpful. The jumping in with a funny picture or a so wrong it is funny remark is what kills it sometimes but I think that has to do with the nature of the interwebs as it is right now. Perhaps there will be some evolution as time goes by.
