He doesn’t sell his drawings. That’s rule number one. Instead he “spends” them. That’s rule number two. So far, he’s spent about $250,000 worth of Boggs’ bills. Now, does that figure refer to the face value of those bills? Or does it refer to how much they’re worth? Even the most elementary statement about Boggs’ artwork launches an inquiry into the nature of money, monetary transactions, value, art, abstraction, representation and reproduction. Therein lies its seductive power: it’s a simple idea with vast and complex implications. Yet, it’s accessible. Everyone uses money; everyone talks about it.

thats what i first thought when i read the thread title... i remember back at home (Nicaragua) there was a kickass pirate station that had the most random-ass music playing at virtually all hours of the day...when i moved the dude who ran it retired and now it's a christian station (which is funny/sad because there was alot of good death-metal played)

i guess i come from what people would typically call a "nice" family, i just happen to be eating dinner in the same room as my family (aunt uncle cousins type family. extended family you would say?) and my HIGHLY ADHD uncle would not stop making small remarks because, well, he cant i guess, and my bitch of a cousin fucking kicks him in the ribs while screaming for him to shuit up. reading this over i obviously diddnt do a good job portraying the scene, but what amazed me is that the show wasnt even that good and she was flipping out about it... wait i take it back it fucking sucked

i dont have cable nor did i want it until i went to fred's yesterday and saw an advertisement for a show on HBO ( i think) about the comic strip boondocks... i was just wondering if anyone has seen it (as it even come out yet?) and if it's any good. im a big fan of the strip. i guess i'll buy the dvd when/if it ever comes out

i'm guessing i should go digital because i have no means of cutting and editing..

p.s. time lapse photograpy is awesome too..especially watching plants grow or anything else we couldnt sit and look at for several days/weeks... anybody know anything bout this?

i remember borrowing a friend's camera when i was smaller and making toymation movies. they were just the image with whatever background sounds it might have happened to have caught (i pushed record/stop really fast for slides) which actually sounded kind of cool sometimes... but anyway, ive been wanting to start doing that again but i dont know what kind of equipment i would need... for thos of you on the oz who dont like reading i am asking this for those of you who have made animations with objects like toys or clay, what kind of camera did you use? do normal (cheap) camcorders have a slide-by-slide movie-taker? i knew a guy with a stop-animation feature on his webcam but i'm looking for a good picture... i got the idea after watching this in alice's wonderland (totally amazing) but after watching it again with my head back in reality i realised that alot of it was just angular shots and really simple animation...good rhythm, but i digress.... anybody else care to share?(when/if i make movies i might try to share them)

i was wondering if anybody on here has ever suspended, knows anyone who does it, or knows anything about it. i saw it several years ago and have since been really interested in trying it...maybe. only problem is that i think that the closest place for me to go (where i would imagine i could find this stuff) would be atlanta, but i dont really know how such event work. so yeah, i dont know if you have to be part of a group, or if you just show up and be like "yo hook it i mean me up". im not really around anybody who tattoos or pierces (around here...the only tattoo shops ive been to have been pretty lame. artists designs and whatnot) because it seems to be that events like that are sponsored by such businesses. kavadi is pretty crazy too..but im not all that interested (as of yet)...

in this pint-sized town in nowhere alabama, the mcdonalds is THE place to be seen on main street(which is like 3 blocks long). all the highschool kids hang out in the back and this one time i was sitting in the car in parking lot(i forget exactly why) and i see this redneck wite dude pull up a few spaces down. no big deal, exept he's just sitting there. few minutes after, some black dude in some old ass car pulls up. white guy enters cab. they both inspect something lower than eye level, shake hands, and part ways. all of this in front of me and god knows how many cameras... from what i understand this isnt exactly a rare occurence, but hey, it's THE place to be. as far as mutants, yes. they are mutants here. when theyre not nasty bitches that is. wal-mart and mcdanlads are going to get married one day...and i plan on throwing up on guests at the wedding

i started to do that but i dont have a year. the apt buildings were built sometime in the 70's (my landbitch dosent even know). ive gone through one year and i dont know if there was less crime or less printed reports of it, but the newspaper hardly mentions murders... i guess i'll just keep looking
