    City of God DVD

Yes, I understand there have been more than several threads on this movie. I probably posted in the original one, seeing as I saw this movie for the first time a year and a half ago.

What’s different about this thread is that it’s on the DVD. What’s different about the DVD is that it comes with a special feature documentary called News From A Personal War.

News From A Personal War was really quite good. It interviews policemen, ghetto kids from the favela, older gangsters, and kids in prison who have revolution on their mind.

Definitely worth checking out. If anyone has watched the DVD, please post up what you thought about the movie, as well as the News From A Personal War.

i never even heard of this movie.... but the name is pretty gay. if they wanted a biblical allusion, they shoulda called it 'city on a hill' or something.

fuck no they didn't want a biblical reference, or if they did, only in the most sickeningly ironic way.

!@#$%, did you watch the special feature? Those kids are oh so cute! It also makes me wonder about the prison security in Brasil.
