The Israeli government seems hell-bent on bringing antisemitism back into full swing, but having lived with a dude who spent 5 years in Israel and talking to lots of Israeli dudes about it during my time in Florida, they didn't like what the government there was doing. The Israeli culture is very open and fun loving, and I was especially impressed by what they told me about the military service... if a senior officer commands you to commit some kind of atrocity or something that you believe to immoral, you have full rights to disobey and report them without repercussions. Their women are hot as hell too. Looking at Israel from the common US perspective is kind of like looking at the US from the European perspective... it's very easy to stereotype the people but the blame lies in the people in power, not the populace. I never learned about the Pentagon Papers or the GI resistance to the Vietnam war in any history class when I was growing up. 2. I think that there's going to be a similar reaction to the wars in the Middle East once people realize that we're not going to be getting out of there anytime soon, so a refresher course might come in handy. However it would be perfectly reasonable to question the motives and the financial incentives that would lead people to fund rubbishy propaganda films like this.
