RELAPSER Posted June 1, 2007 Share Posted June 1, 2007 ok, so i picked up a dvd burner for my computer, but it was an ide burner and i have all sata connections. so rather than returning it, i picked up a ide-sata converter and plugged that into the burner, then into the motherboard. only problem is, windows isnt recognizing my burner. though it does have power and the disc tray will open and shut when i push the button for it. any help? also, i tried to access my bios to remove the hp splash screen at startup, but i dont have the bios password for the computer. is there any way around that?
