Disabling the Messenger Service To prevent anyone on the Internet from generating pop-up messages on your computer, you can disable the Messenger service. You can restart the service easily at a later time if you decide to use it. Qawee
ok i fixed it, i tried the stuff casek recommended, one was just a blocker thing, the other needed to download shit to install and for some reason couldn't connect to the server. i eventually used 'hijack this' to get a list of running processes as well as registry entries, which enabled me after rebooting in safe mode to get rid of the thing causing the problem  it took entirely too long, but its fixed now. on another note, seffiks, whats up with a link to the japanese ninja porn??!?!?

Seffiks
sounds like a driver issue ( go to device manager and remove it) sounds to me like you installed it more than once and its causing conflicts so go to the device manager locate it and remove it including doubles if theres any plug it back in when the propmt comes up saying found new hardware cancel it and manually open device manager and scan for hardware changes and choose it that way

KM4RT
.... no no. i dont mean a driver for the thing. i mean drivers for the USB hub, like the usb plugs in your comp. they also have drivers. and i think they may not be installed properly. try connecting another usb device to see if it works.
