traumatizing? no way! me and all of my friends were like "yeah!" people are actually getting hit and getting killed! just like in that one gi joe miniseries, when duke took that hit. no one ever got hit or killed in those cartoons, and after years of that it was like, ok come on someone needs to get hit and die or something. but i can't lie, i was a bit upset when optimus died, it was a shock.

Traumatizing is a strong word. I was definetly like "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" when that shit went down though.

Also, I definetly have VHS tapes of that GI Joe mini-series, as well as the GI Joe movie. Youre talking about when duke took Serpentors Cobra Staff to the chest? (how gay does that sound...?)

I remember one time me and some friends blazzed and the opening scene where Unicron devoured that planet practically made my eyes roll back into my skull.

The new generation was totally lacking a soul and in the words of sin city, they all "looked like electric shavers.

Rodimous Prime lacked the charisma and strength of Optimus and c'mon...are we supposed to believe a mexican looking custom hotrod/camper is a worthy successor to a big bad ass Big Rig Truck with cargo carrier? No

Galvitron......insanity gets boring real fast. Cool, calculating Megatron is shelved in favor of a one track minded psycho prone to migraine headaches and when transformed looked like a sex toy you'd find online.

But another good point in the movie was when the jive talking autobot version of soundwave sent his audio cassette warriros against Soundwaves. A miniature battle royale.

I liked Rumbles lines in this movie "First we crack the shell, then we crack the nuts inside!"

Rodimus Prime and Galvatron were definetly subpar. Especially Rodimus Prime, Hot Rod really does a good job of pissing me off through the whole movie and then just happens to open the Matrix by accident, like cmon....

I think the best part of the movie is the attack on Autobot city and probably the whole scene with the Quintessons/Sharkticons.

One of my friends lent me a pretty dope book awhile back which goes into great detail about the Quintessons and gives a really good background to that whole thing, as well as alot of interesting stuff about Unicron, his "Good" brother/other half and alot of other nerdy shit.

yeah.. im serious.. judd nelson and leonard nimoy are also voice talents..along with the micro machines song.. and apparently a song by weird al..which is referred to in a babbletron song.

The Omega man is a great Charleton Heston movie.. but i dont know if it has anything to with Welles.

-back to the cotton gin.

Man... the cartoons nowadays suck balls compared to those in the 80's. Everything is wannabe japanime now. I feel like an old man...

Yeah, man. I've grown to hate anime these days. Not cool anime like Ghost in the Shell, but stupid anime like ^_^ type shit.

They're ruining all the cartoons. Thudercats is now gay furry porn fodder; instead of bringing back Batman: The Animated Series, they make a stupid new one that sucks; and everything else is that ^_^ type shit.

Anyone remember Car Voltron?

oh yeah, Hunk was the man..hunk06.jpg

Would anyone happen to remember the geek dude's name? I think he was the green voltron.

I loved that movie so much, and yes I was shook when hey started dying!!! :shook: I love it when they are at the judge, "GUILTY OR INOCCCCCCENT?" GUILTY! Hot shit, that movie STILL rocks.

No, the quintessons pronounced someone innocent when they were executed....

And the geek's name in voltron was PIDGE
