  • 2 weeks later...

soo.... anyone know of a good site for getting free (no uploads or other bullshit) acapellas?

I'm learning how to mash up tracks and you know I'll be posting my first mix in here.

I worked on it for 4 hours last night and only got about 6 minues farther into the mix. damn.... ADHD

rum: Acapellas

http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/forum/

i'm not sure how the site works though.

I listened to the mix it was pretty good until i think it was around 7:48 and i got lost, other than that i liked the selection. De la soul nice, the mos def one, kardinal, beenie, etc etc. grime, reggae and hip hop def interesting.

I think you might need a smoother transition between the fast and really slow tracks, (the one where the beat while talib's rapping was good)

unless that's just your style.

I know nothing, i do know i liked the song around 4:04, i have no idea what it was though.

Peace

I dont really have a 'style'. I just kind of lay tracks out and see what sticks.

I added about 5 more minutes to it last night and moved out of the hiphop

zone into more electro and breakbeat stuff. I want to make 'audio whiplash'

where people are like 'whoa.. did he just go from there to there?'

* and the song that comes in at 4:04 is Kardinal, but I think it was a single that never got a big release.

I personally think Kardinal is way underrated. He makes great beats and was blending in the

reggae and riddims long before the Sean Paul oversaturation went down.

Plus he's a local cat.

gotcha

I've always liked kardinal...i'm upset that the remix of Ludacris's Number one spot featuring him didn't get played enough.

And send over the other half of the mix please
