Robot Chicken
Any ink that doesn't contain xylene(eats plastic) not india ink either I threw some acrylic paint in it. But I’m not sure if that’ll be enough to make it stick/last on brick or cement.
acer910
read the thread.......... tell us the letters on the bottom of the bottle. and tell us what kind of applicator you plan on using with that container

LUGR
What should I thin down marsh with? Nothing.
somekat
@lugr... I like marsh straight in a mop. but when it runs through a marker (zig woodcraft) it seems a bit thick... I know you can mix it with garvey for staining and probably thin it down a bit but I don't have any... and it seems like you'd have to use a ton of garvey to thin down marsh...? I'm looking for an easy cheap way to make it run through better
LUGR
Searched the thread and found this... Marsh is the best black ink. If you add some thinner super drippy and clean. Let us know how it works. on another note, what’s the best ink mix to put in one of these? ^TSWF...
somekat
thanks lugr. I'm assuming dude means paint thinner. I'll post results soon
Tuco Salamanca
  ^ anyone ever try omega ink? supposedly its made by wescosa. is it thick, or is it thin enough to run through a pilot-type marker?
LUGR
thanks lugr. I'm assuming dude means paint thinner. I'll post results soon Not sure...and not sure if the members post is credible. If I were you, I would save the Marsh for the mops and put something else in the marker. If you try it, try it with a small batch to see how it works. somekat
what's so funny Tuco? lol. I just haven't had that much experience with actual inks, I've always used thinned down rusto and already filled markers.
somekat
and i've tried making my own but it turned out shitty.

BELTOLEUM
^ Yea so use latex next time and thin it with water acrylic will wash away one it gets rained on ect. I've heard omega ink sucks...i remember that one like one of the first inks pg ever offered ahaha. I'd assume that its pretty thin since they give you a one of those dripper thingys, just like pilot does runine you only used rusto and thinner? how long would you left it dry for? BELTOLEUM
Idk man all i can say is use paint thinner instead. I forgot the exact ratio...i wanna say paint 2/3 and thinner 1/3 but im not positive, if im right you don't want more then 1/3 thinner because it gets really streaky. Read up on 6OF1 posts, and asdf_va! and purehatecrew they all had very helpful posts, and know what they are talking about
RUNINE
the ratio i used was about 3/5 rusto and 2/5 mineralspirits. ill try to dig up some thinner

five7
could anyone tell me what i can add to this, to make it drippier and possibly more permanant? any help is appreciated, sorry if its already been discussed. is that india ink? if so, you'd best be buying pilot inks instead. they're great as it is. no need to muck around with other stuff. course, it'll get buffed with effort. but what sort of ink really is ultra permanent anyway?
