kiwiwhaaa?
^I've done it before. Desperate measures when the ink recipe came out too think. Went to the gas station and made a mess spilling ink all over the floor when the bottle overflowed lol. Doesn't work bad...the smell lingers though gas will decay some plastics depending on how much youre using. but then again so will hundreds of other chemicals
szr
I know you can't put gas in water bottles so youd prolly want a heavy plastic
RUNINE
use the same plastic as a gas can or just use a metal bottle

Rustofills
how good is base ink? or on the run flowpen ink? I normally don't buy inks. But one of the order's I made from trout came with a free sample of Base ink in a small mop. I liked it enough to buy a refill bottle in the last order I made. It seems to mix well with other inks and I managed to get a nice blend of Marsh and Base to last a lot longer then I thought it would have. But like almost every ink in a soft plastic mop bottle, dont squeeze. Un less you like the runny look. Which I tend to do by habit. In short Pretty good shit. Its the ethanol in the gas. If you use a high grade gasoline or a ethanal free gas, then you should be straight.

Was wondering if anyone on here had tried this, I hadn't given out samples in a year or so and never received too much feedback on it. I think you're one of the first to write anything about it. There's a lot of you guys in here I look up to as ink snobs (compliment), so to see it mentioned in here is a thrill.

kankuhjong
get some grogg + corio + some brake fluid + aceton mix it all together you get some dark ink that will dry very slow but it is hard as fuck i suggest 3/6 grog 1/6 corio 1/6 acetone 1/6 bruik fluid
Cro.
brake fluid doesn't do anything
RUNINE
yeah the brake fluid is mainly why it takes so long to dry
kankuhjong
yeh acetone also do, thats some good stuff it bites in plastic so its great for insides
Rustofills
The acetone is to help speed up drying. Just saying., for those of you that are like. What?
Cro.
The acetone is to help speed up drying. Just saying., for those of you that are like. What? counteracted by the pointless brake fluid that makes it dry slow.
tha whut
the theory with brake fluid it makes the ink dry slower so it soaks into the surface and its harder to buff its only good for inks cuz paint isnt made to stain im pretty sure this had been sed on this thread alot of times
Cro.
it's a theory, but it often doesn't pan out. same with antifreeze. on certain surfaces it might be effective, but overall its just going to dry slower with no real gain.
RUNINE
on wood or something pourous it might work but metal is pretty hard to soak into. there are only a few inks that are still leaving ghosts after they have been eroded, buffed and faded and im pretty sure they dont have anitfreeze or brake fluid in them. the only good they would do is if you write in the winter alot like me your ink wouldnt freeze in your marker. Cro.
Is ink freezing in the marker a problem? Im gonna be writing in Maine this winter and it gets cold as tits here.
LICKERISH
Most inks are alcohol or solvent based...alcohol doesn't freeze and most solvents won't either, rendering any anti-freeze useless.
