Elizabeth MontgomeryOner
Ayo, anyone know any shows going on nyc? I don't know... I peeped some BXUG shit at the FLC a year or so back, shit disturbed me all these crying bitches and niggas that thought the were ninjas, I was like " no way this is not the bronx, walked back home through castle hill projects just to make sure I wasn't in the twilight zone, I might check out the FLC again, maybe it was a fluke...? i don't know man, i fell off & Honestly its looks pretty DEAD out there Europa in greenpoint bk has had some good shows the last past few months (but europa is on the selling block) Abc no rio still has shows (but that's more crust punk/punk) Same goes for the Charleston in bk & there's always Trash Bar in bk I haven't heard about any garage/loft shows in a long time Cha Cha's in Coney Island had a little something recently with billy club but i haven't heard much else from that place Santos is actually doing something...weird spot for it but hey

I never said I was cool.
NYC is pretty much dead as far as real Punk and Hardcore goes. I've seen some good bands come through in the past year or so, but seems more like old guys bringing their band back to help pay some bills. I never said I was cool.
dont tell gliko this, he will punch your head off I've played in a couple of touring bands, and friends in other bands (not from NYC) said their booking agent was starting to skip over NYC cause the shows were just having poor turn outs. Hopefully NYC will make a come back, the problem is that kids in NYC are too cool to go out and support their local scene. You go to other city's and kids come out to shows no matter who's playing, they don't wait for "the cool band" to come through town. If it's a punk or hardcore show they just show up. Elizabeth MontgomeryOner
I think a lot of problems stem from the venues -no one wants to take a chance and if they attempt to take it outside of clubs the chances of getting busted are very very high, also the kids don't care and I don't blame em (+ the kids are broke no $ for equipment/shows/donations) A lot of (local) bands haven't made any new material in 5 or so years but hey, it'll all come back around ...some day just like dnb

MrChupacabra
Most of them. I have a bunch of weird, lo-fi, loud, noise rock/garage punk/wall of sound stuff that i'm contemplating uploading. I know most of you don't give a shit, but there are a few of you who might. Should i bother, or is it a waste of time? Billy Bao, Mayyors, Homostupids, Drunkdriver, etc type stuff.
