I get that. I don't have problems with that myself but I did have pre-surgery anxiety. I wear safety eyewear at work so it was a pain in the ass wearing contacts on night shifts. Also I'm very man pretty and have long ass eyelashes so my glasses were always filthy. -
@ndvyeah that’s another perk that I’m lazy and don’t take advantage of is that you get free regular eye exams.

@NightmareOnElmStreet you knows it, two doses of Pfizer here. Heart still works, etc etc @ndv I had the procedure ~10/11 years ago and went to 20/15 eyesight. I haven’t been tested in forever but I haven’t noticed any regression, but you are correct in that one day I’ll likely need readers. LASIK has ‘warranty’ as well in that as long as you have cornea they will correct more than once to fix regression. Iirc I paid roughly $2200 ish total. Would recommend if it’s in your means, totally changed my life.

Finished the Chiang. Really, really great. Particularly liked title track, Liking What You See, Merchant & the Alchemist's Gate, and Life Cycle of Software Objects. Kerouac going slowly as I expected.. now reading this as well
