  1. The grain you're wanting is a property of the chemicals on film. On digital cameras, all you'll get is its shitty cousin, noise. Depending on your camera you'll either want to under or overexpose your night shots, and perhaps set the ISO really high. Most cameras have some sort of internal noise reduction though. 2. I've still got a techno one coming, just been busy with work.
  3. Kise for Grief Scarnuts for Fade I'll work on the techno one tonight, spent all last night drinking and never got around to it.
  4. I might. Will draw. Will probably lose. Oh well.
  5. I don't think its a "toy name" if there is such a thing. And yes, it probably is taken, but so is everything else. Don't worry about it, do your thing, and start painting now. Find some spot where you don't have to worry about shit being up and seen forever if it comes out horrible and just paint it.
  6. Judging by the low light noise patterning, I'd say its a lower end digicam, and probably can't focus correctly at night and there isn't anything he can do about it. Try using a tripod and fixing the white balance on your camera. Even to the eye, incandescent lights are not that yellow. Here's one from yesterday: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v238/lafayettephoto/IMG02159.jpg'>
  7. Here's a clue. Everybody on here will tell everybody else that nearly anything they do is toy. You should have picked up on this pattern by now. There is no such thing as a "toy name". If you get good and destroy your fucking city nobody will care what you write.
  8. It wasn't until you asked that question.

  10. I wasn't specifically asking you to give me a word, just telling anyone interested that I was up to battle. How about SHAZBOT, due Jun 12th by midnight.
  11. I'll be up for the next battle that comes along, just give me a word.

  20. I've been looking around paperchase for awhile, and I've come to the conclusion that if you click this link, paperchase will become a much better place for you. Your printer may or may not support borderless printing. Most of the newer photo printers do, but you'll need to use some heavyweight paper so you don't get a jam. I'm guessing you don't want to wheatpaste 120lb paper to the wall. Your best bet is probably to just cut the edges by hand or with the papercutter at the friendly neighborhood kinkos/library and work from there.
  21. This page is bogging down the 100Mb connection in the uni lab. :king: Nice posting everyone. Yeah, before I saw that I assumed they were digital for some reason and was getting ready to ask you which camera you had that was producing such nice looking high ISO noise. My question has been answered.
  22. Actually from what I'm reading online now Higgins Eternal is supposed to be waterproof, so I'm guessing its alcohol based after all.
  23. Well, I tossed some Higgins Eternal (water based carbon ink) into a batch of krink. It likes to try and seperate but a quick shake fixes that. Anyway I like the way it looks, it's more of a grey/silver now. The black will seperate and form drips if tags get wet before they dry, but it seems pretty permanent otherwise. It comes out really silver on metal and rust, but darker grey on porous surfaces. Strange shit, still not sure whether I like it better with or without the Higgins.
