The paid teaching jobs are a lot harder to get accepted into, but there's TONS of volunteer teaching jobs that will put you up with free accomodations. I'll be teaching english in either Railay or Chiang Mai (Thailand) this coming May for a month or so.. it's volunteer, but i get a free place to stay, and when the cost of living is only a few bucks a day, I can't fucking complain. Stoked!

Bitchin - make sure you go, it's such an amazing country. Where abouts in Thailand is this free place to stay? Railay and Pai are the top two places to visit on my list.. Pai's in the north, and Railay is just a stone's throw away from Phuket, which is also and awesome place. I can't wait to go back, i fucking love it there.

how about travelling somewhere that doens't have the highest exchange rate? I seriously suggest Thailand, or anywhere in Southeast Asia for that matter. I travelled around Thailand this summer for 2+ months, and it cost me just over $3500 Canadian - not bad when you consider that the flights alone cost $2500. Backpaking on a budget is the only way to really see a country / countries anyways. Just a thought.

I think it's fucking great! I love how the layout is less traditional and somewhat less 'organized'; I think the black and white is a must-keep feature, and I'm a fan of the characters - again, I think a less traditional approach to a comic is a fresh idea! Post more!

This shit makes me fucking sick. I too find it hard to believe that any religious faith would condone this kind of never-ending violence, regardless of how devout its members are. Goddamn extremists give anyone else of that faith such a terrible name; one of my really good mates is Muslim and tells me over and over again what a crock of shit it is that the Al-Qaeda claim these acts in the name of faith. There's nothing honorable about doing this kind of bullshit either. I used to hang out with this one kid, Brendan, way back in the day when we was just little fuckers. This kid was a straight-A, no-TV-watchin', no swearing, extra-curricular-activity-doin', 100% nerd. Years down the road, I was the one who finally got him to swear, start skateboarding, start smoking pot and drinking.. and then his family moved away cause his old man scored a new job (they were already rich like whoa.) Last I heard, he was a coke head and dropped out of school in grade 10. I can't help but feel partially responsible, considering the fact that if I hadn't corrupted him, he'd probably be in medschool by now. Although, i don't feel that sorry for the kid for a second. I managed to clean up and go to university, and it wasn't easy for me by any means. There was this one chick that I dated for a little while, until she just picked up and moved to vanshitty one day.. I miss her like crazy and it's been nearly 7 years now. Damn, I should look her up and see what's crackin'

-went for eats at some fancy dig downtown; over-priced and the food was sub-par to say the least. I could whip up exponentially better pasta in half the time. -waited in line outside the bar/club for 2 hours to try and get in and see some friends before i jet off for a few months.. couldn't get in, froze my ass of in the process.
