..... Cool. How were they not in on it? You don't think paintings sold for that much money are authenticated and every minute detail inspected..? Including the frame? Personally I don't see how this benefits Sothebys other than making them look incompetent. This created buzz for him, nothing more. He isn't anonymous and hasn't been for years. Just google Banksy identity.

Maybe writers hate on him because it isn’t graff but it’s hailed as such. The guy comes out of the woodwork every few years to put up stencils with a team of people. Never understood what got people so hyped for this guys ‘work’.

My last response was unnecessarily harsh so let me rephrase. Going after bums with baseball bats for leaning on a car is straight out of r/iamverybadass. Chalk it up to maturity or the world changing in 20 years but I find that reaction unfortunate to say the least. Cant have it both ways, either you're a street guy ( in which case asking for illegal advice on a forum is hilarious) or you can call the cops like 99.9% of normal people.
