  1. I beg to differ. Probably more undecided voters than ever. The echo chambers are going to keep echoing, but my thoughts are that people are losing faith in droves. Seriously, who the fuck can you consciously vote for among those two walking dumpster fires.
  2. Gatorade girl is Sydney McLaughlin... Not sure she should be in this thread.
  3. No need to debone. The larger bones you pick out as you eat them. Small ones just get eaten.
  4. Thanks man. Fishing gear was nothing special. Just an ugly stick with a nigh crawler on it. We were fishing from the canoe. As for the knife, unsure since that’s my friends knife. My current EDC is a Benchmade Bailout. Kinda pricey but a very awesome, very quality knife.
  5. Honestly I hate memes like this. These are the type of memes that are most effective as they hit on a emotional / personal level and have a semblance of truth that allows them to come off as fact. Yeah, no doubt that if yet another conservative justice is appointed and that justice and a majority of their peers feel are in opposition to Roe vs Wade and a notable organization decides to contest that judgement and it makes it all the way to the Supreme court of the land, etc etc... Sure it could actually happen. But what bothers me the most about this meme is it entirely misses the point where we should be discussing why the fuck the federal government is even having any sort of say in what is not their fucking business and most obviously not a part of their charter or area of responsibility. I truly believe none of these memes are created by parties that actually have any intent on solving whatever issue they're signaling or they'd no doubt stop ignoring the giant pink elephant in the room, which is why the fuck is the federal government so deeply entwined in the day to day lives of citizens. Just pause a moment and think about how many freakin issues are resolved instantly once the federal government simply cuts the cord on managing the intimate details and day to day of people and instead allows state and local governments to reassume the responsibilities they were always intended to keep? Suddenly shit like abortion, gay marriage, gun control and about a billion more contentious debates evaporate. Its like people really would rather just keep arguing with each other than make any meaningful headway on shit like this.
  6. Being accurate at any distance with a pistol is not easy. Thats why pistol ranges start at 5 yards and rarely go past 15 yards. Seeing as that is a controlled environment and a static target that doesn't shoot back and people still rarely get good groups, you can imagine what it's like to actually shoot a moving target that is shooting back at you. This is why a shotgun is a great weapon. Obviously you should get real training and practice as often as you can regardless, but a shotgun will greatly improve your chances of hitting something over a pistol. Especially with the right type of ammo.
  7. Its rare to find someone willing to sell privately to a stranger. You'd have to be an idiot to do that because when the gun gets used in a crime, it tracks back to the last record for that gun. 99% of private sales still do it through an FFL for that very reason. $10 - $20 for a transaction is a small price to pay. It also protects the buyer in case the gun was used in a crime before they bought. Again, it's a self policing system and you'd have to be an idiot to not do it. I've bought many gun privately and its always been through an FFL.
  8. Depends on where you live to some degree. But its not reeally up to a shop owner to decline the transaction, it happens once you've submitted your NICS check. Unless you specifically told him something that can be used to disqualify you, nothing should prevent you from it unless you fail the check. If that happens, you'll be given a reason and can then appeal or correct the issue unless its something that would prevent you altogether (Felony, restraining order, mental health issue, etc). As far as what to get, you can't go wrong with a decent shot gun, which is the probably the best all around gun to own. Obviously you can't conceal carry it, but its good for just about anything else. As far as a pistol, try to fire something (or better yet multiple somethings) before you decide. If you can't shoot it, at least hold it and see what fits your hand and feels comfortable. If you can shoot them, you'll likely perform better with one than another, so pick the one that you shoot best with. Generally it'll coke down to a Glock (compact or full size in 9mm), Sig Sauer (Again, likely 9mm and likely one of the striker fire versions like the P365) or possibly something like an M&P. After that, your next gun will probably be an AR. Just make sure you get training. If you don't have the time and money for training, the gun can be a larger liability than an asset.
  9. Probably. I've ripped through a lot of pairs. I remember back when nobody really knew what they were and you could easily buy them. Even got a pair on sale once cause they'd been sitting. Now you need to fight all the little kids for stuff like this.
  10. How'd you manage two pairs of those Defcons? You actually get them at retail?
  11. From the other day. A little post work time spent staring at trees and water.
  12. Oh man, congrats to @KILZ FILLZfor bringing this thread back to life.
  13. Sorry fells, going to have to flex on you motherfuckers...
  14. Indeed, only exception being photo orientation data so it posts the way its supposed to since phones actually auto orient to portrait and use meta data to append info that the image was taken with your phone sideways. Not that Instagram or Facebook bothers with any of that or preserving user privacy. In fact, they purposely collect and sell all that.
  15. @NoDakFreightsYeah dude, you dont need to upload to an image host and use HTML tags. At least not for the last 10 or 15 years or so. On a computer you can just drag the images to the part of the comment window below where you type where it says "Drag files here to attach, or choose files...". If you're on a mobile, you just click the link in that sentence that says "choose files..." and you can attach from your phones photo library. Easy peasy...
  16. Appreciate the kind words. As far as advice, Its too broad a question and too long an answer. Depends on your resources and your ambitions. I can certainly say that there's a ton of moving parts and a wide array of skills that you'll need to learn and apply effectively to get to a final result. If you ask more specific questions I'll answer as best as I can.
  17. Nice find... I do need to eventually put something like this together. Definitely a great reference as a starting point. Thanks.

    Shoes?

I'm kind of over everything thats out tbh. I like the look of my vans, but reality is they suck performance wise. Standing all day on concrete wearing vans is torture. I ordered a pair of Nike React's and decided I didn't like them enough to keep them, even though they were on sale. They were comfy, though I think they run small. Not sure man, the hype game of the last few years is more turning me off to sneakers than making me lust for them. Sucks because I could really use a couple pairs and have money to spend on them, but just kind of over it all.
