see my opinion on whats good in hardcore is outdated, kinda of like my fanny pack. But I dont know any bands anymore.

but my favorites, not in order are:

    1)bad brains
    2)gorilla Biscuits.,
    3)underdog
    4)sub zero
    5)sheer terror

Sex Positions is alright, but they recently had a huge overhaul and i think there is only one original member in the band now. And isnt it the guy from Bottom Line that sings for them now? oh and E, did you check the Slumlords out yet?

Boston scene is doing alright right now.

    current

    1. Slumlords
    2. Verse
    3. Cut Throat (boston, not the WP band)
    4. None More Black (not really hardcore, but awesome nonetheless)
    5. Converge
