I got this as a Vday present and didn't like it when I finished building it.

The blade part looks weird. You also have to build the stand....

Because I didn't like, I went and disassembled everything except for the handle, and went a different route ....

Ha! Used the stand pieces to get to this point. The big rectangular piece in the middle is just a "cover" at the moment. I don't have much pieces/pairs to work with, but hoping I can make it look more appealing without bringing in outside parts.

The colors of the blade does no justice for my camera, but here goes....

I sorted out the pieces by style and pairs:

(Goal is to use everything)

I have weird shapes that when combined,  it makes an interesting concept:

After making a bunch of shapes,  I finally had an Idea and went for it:

It has two designs on each blade since I didn't have enough pieces to make it 3D. I like them both:

(This looks more classic, other side I like to think it's tech)

The tip of it looks wild. Reminds me of Mantis claws :

I added extra little wings :

The sword is steady, can be swung lightly.  Has weight to it, one hit parts will fly out. Here is a live view:

Any single pieces that were left behind were used to keep sword stable. Here are the remains:

(Happy I used most of them)

Final comparison:

I can see why people don't have the patience for this shit. You just can't slap pieces together in sequence,  you have to make groups and slowly bring them in together. There is also parts you can't work around it, that's where the yelling comes in.

This set wasn't for me, good experience tho. Wouldn't mind trying something else .
