umm....i just installed UTORRENT on a new laptop, and for some reason, none of the random port numbers i've tried are working.....any tips or #'s?

 

plz dont refer me to portforward.com, that site is confusing at best!

edit: casek, i went with the AMD's... thanks...... how you doing with that access shit? i talked to my friend about those other shits..... he still hasnt received the package i sent him (snail mail... cuz hes on dial-up) so he hasnt installed shit yet...

 

excellent choice. still working. had a laptop pop on me that had a nice keygen/trojan. fun fun fun.

Casek, how come the Beverage program you linked in the Team Alco thread said it was a trojan virus when it finished? it didn't install because of it.

 

alot of DVT releases show up as viruses on some a/v programs (mostly norton and mcafee). nothing to worry about. it scanned clean with nod32 also.

satanas: you have to go into options (web browser)

network, manual proxy settings and change the

addy to 127.0.0.1

still, if you need help setting it up, it's super easy. what kind of router?

im fucking stuck.... one of the users on the network here cant log on to their profile on the machine that they always sit at.... but i can log on as any other user on their machine.... and i can log on to other machines using their account???? wtf????? xp pro... sbs2k3....

 

 

the user most likely changed a setting in their profile that is preventing the desktop from loading. If the profile is located server side I would recommend making a backup for server side stored file such as favorites and documents and then deleting the profile and creating a new one with the same user name
