Their (Bles and Grime) shop is really clean and professional unlike those wack Hollywood ones with a bunch of kids hanging out all over the place. He did my boy's 3/4 sleeve. It's bangin'. vinyl junkie Posted April 30, 2004 Share Posted April 30, 2004 hey hey pistol... a few things: if you want to go as big as you're talking about, you're gonna have to be prepared to spend a little money... however, cartoon is highly over rated, and only gets to charge as much as he does because all these MTV heads keep going to him... jack ruby is still in your area, i believe, and he does what your talking about... in my opinion, he does all the shit that cartoon wishes he was doing... this is who i would reccomend you look at... grime is the man, however, i think he is much better at traditional japanese style and new skool tattoos... i have seen him pass on a lot of black and grey/fine line work... not to mention you'd have to come out here to get tattooed, and on top of that he has a waiting list of at least 6 months unless you got some friend of a friend shit goin on... and last but not least: fuck paul booth... dude has no sense of dimension or anything in his work... he only gets all this recognition because he's so gothic he scatters dead leaves around his combination tattoo/piercing/clothing/gothic-lifestyle-supply shop... Why not just look through some tattoo mags for some artist you like and go from there. Shit would be mad expensive though for just about anyone in the magazines.
