SCOTCH WHISKEO Posted September 10, 2001 Share Posted September 10, 2001 Seeking, you are correct in saying that the Intratec tec-9 (pictured above) is a cheap piece of ghetto crack-a-nomics garbage guaranteed to jam if not cleaned after every clip, and the Mac-11 is not much better (although a step up from the Mac-10, which jammed like a live P-funk concert before Maggot-Brain passed away.) ...HOWEVER, the Uzi is another story entirely. An actual Uzi (not a chinese knock-off) is the Isreali Army's choice of small arms and NOTHING to be trifled with. If one considers that Israel is surrounded by enemies and at a constant state of war, it just follows that most Israeli made weapons are going to be state of the art and pretty fucking reliable. That aint no "rap-gun", its a fuckin' Mossad-machine. Now, I am not a big "soldier of fortune" type guy, nor do I advocate everyone owning guns just because they are "God fearing Amercuns"...but if you must go to war, do it like the best. [This message has been edited by SCOTCH WHISKEO (edited 09-10-2001).] i believe israel has all but phased out uzis. they have been replaced with mp5's(more reliable)and shortend versions of the ak and ar15(more power for the same size). the mini and or micro uzi may still be used in limited roles such as anti terrorist opperations or as a side arm for officers. anyway, what makes israels millitary great is the quality of the soldiers and their training, not hardware. seeking Posted September 12, 2001 Share Posted September 12, 2001 big toy, the gun in the pic is a mac-11. a couple years ago you could get them without the stock and extended barell. then sanctions were put in place and you had to pick one of the other. apparently this guy chose both. at the time they were only about $220. but regardless, those things fucking suck. they jam like crazy and blow flames out the end of the barell.
