FTA
tried making some ink today and it came out pretty good... 10 parts rusto black oil base 4 parts On the Run black ink 2 parts house of kolor thinner and a generous portion of aluminum dust put it in a kiwi mop. super black and the dust gives it a sheen..... reaalllly runny. looks damn good on metals and fibreglass pretty sure it's been done before, i haven't really read this thread all the way through.... but i thought i'd post it anyways. sk8er6
i guess the ink would mix with the thinner, and then mix with the paint. you might have some problems with separating.
Skag
Argh I ran out of turps today so I can't thin the ghetto krink I JUST got. Could I use straight break fluid to thin the paint or would that just make it take agggggggggges to dry?
sk8er6
do turps hurt plastic?
TeezerPHM
brake fluid as thinner isn't good unless u want it to take ages to dry like u stated.

asdf_va!
No it wouldn't. You gotta score another kiwi nib with the green tab in it again. Learn to use it the way it came. That mix you made will be mad runny and needs to be regulated with the green spring. Just push it on the wall harder, to open the spring valve, or squeeze harder which will force the ink out more. Less if more. You got too much ink flow and your tag will drip into a rectangle. It will look awful. Get a new nib.

OTR is alcohol based right.. if yes it wouldnt mix witht the rusto. it would just seperate leaving the paint at the bottom (or top which ever way u old it) and the rest at the top i ruinded a mop once thinking alcohol would thin oil based paint
