tried making some ink today and it came out pretty good...

10 parts rusto black oil base

4 parts On the Run black ink

2 parts house of kolor thinner

and a generous portion of aluminum dust

put it in a kiwi mop.

super black and the dust gives it a sheen..... reaalllly runny.

looks damn good on metals and fibreglass

pretty sure it's been done before, i haven't really read this thread all the way through.... but i thought i'd post it anyways.

so, with that new ink i made, i went out on a run last night.

got a problem though. when i filled the mop, i took out that green spiral plastic in the tip to let it flow better, but i flows WAY too much... now i got a black leg and ruined pants.... i'ms clip the tip of that spiral plastic piece and put it back n the mop and see if that slows the flow.

anybody got any other ideas to fix the problem?

perhaps if i left that plastic piece out and wrapped the nib in a piece of felt or canvas? would that slow it up?

No it wouldn't.

You gotta score another kiwi nib with the

green tab in it again. Learn to use it the

way it came. That mix you made will be

mad runny and needs to be regulated with

the green spring. Just push it on the wall

harder, to open the spring valve, or squeeze

harder which will force the ink out more.

Less if more.

You got too much ink flow and your tag

will drip into a rectangle. It will look awful.

Get a new nib.

aight... just put the green piece back in and it's doin fairly well... i just wrapped a couple layers of t-shirt fabic around the nib and tried it too.... i'm likin the fabric cause it's saving my sponge.... gonna run with that for a while and see how it does...

DUDE PINK DED AHAHAHAHAHAH, MIX THE RED WITH THE WHITE!!

purp ded = red + blue

pink ded = red + white

baby blue ded = blue + white

color mixing oner

donteatpete, airbrush paint is the best for ink in my opinion, its already sorta thin, just thin it up more with water or acrylic thinner.

asdf has to get off oink's dick

i dont see how this would work...

OTR is alcohol based right.. if yes it wouldnt mix witht the rusto.

it would just seperate leaving the paint at the bottom (or top which ever way u old it) and the rest at the top i ruinded a mop once thinking alcohol would thin oil based paint
