Ko SprueOne
yes, I like the Articulated Auto Rack. Don't have any yet but would make a nice contribution to the collection Rio Grande logo with TTGX markings # 158349.. Couldn't find it on rrpicturearchives.net I believe it's made by Athearn. I have one of those too. It's a bi-level then
Zed_Eastwood
HA - good shit BelRoc. the King car came out nice..thought youd get a kick out of this if you hadnt already seen it: with the winter months upon us, its time for me to get back into model train mode... started on some weathering last week. i may do a Porn piece on the cotton belt just for old times sake.. i ordered a couple of these over the summer too and they are sick!! from what ive seen, the only diff between the BLMA and the exactrail is the price. the same exactrail was about 10.00 more. i went with the BLMA. ordered this the other day too - should arrive tomorrow. i saw someone on flickr with the the set: solid cold & solid gold. I remember painting these joints wayyyyy back in the day.

Ko SprueOne
.. still cool none the less :smiles: picked up a Walthers Gold Line Autorack in HO today. Dig the details!! I kept looking at it on the shelf but finally said fckit and got it. Far more depth and details than my other set of rolling stock autoracks
supreme79
here is the prototype. not the greatest reference pic, but considering this is probably the very first piece on a freight ever, i did it anyway. i had a G scale car that fit the bill. no way to know what was on the other side...im sure no graffiti since this is from 1974. been working on it for almost a year (off and on) and im almost finished. just have some touch up work to do now. yes it will be a full replica - weathered and everything. only problem is the car looks brown in this pic. the only proto of a 40' CNW box with yellow herald manufactured between 1960 - 1964 (which is probably the batch this car is from) is red and just looks brown because of the flik and years of weatherng. ill post the progression fliks once i get the wheels (maybe another month or two), dullcote seal it and gat a piece of track for it. the 1/25-35 projects, are they trains? Great info!

Mr. Incognito
haven't been through this thread much but i dig it, along with the other model thread in ch. 0. anyway, went to a place today that has a setup they bring out every year around christmas time and took some flicks. not the best quality, but i figured i'd share regardless.

Mr. Incognito
KO - the store's site says it's built to G scale. the store is a big garden center with various other stuff. they have been setting up the train display every winter since the early 90s i think. i think they change a little bit each year as well. only thing that kinda bugs me is the old fashion feel of everything - buildings, people, advertisements etc. but then most of the trains running are more modernized. doesn't really take away from the display being cool regardless, it just kinda stands out to me
