  3. May Day is a celebration rooted in both the ancient pagan (honoring Spring) and the post-modern political (International Workers Day), so it seemed fitting that both tourists and coffeeshop owners in the Netherlands banded together on Tuesday to voice their collective opposition to the law that went into effect that day prohibiting all sales of cannabis to foreigners and only permitting a restricted number of registered local citizens to purchase pot. http://hightimes.com/news/mmiller/7660 nonsense.

  11. What if they're gay people that don't want that kind of attention or wish not to be labeled as being part of a group of people that was persecuted for so many years. A gay person that doesn't want to be seen as someone who was gay but only simply as a person just like everyone else. I believe creating these schooling programs will only create even more separation and isolation. The thought that these people ARE different and that we should learn about them. Kind of the way black history is. There will possibly be more tolerance but a different kind of tolerance. a weird backwards kind of tolerance
  12. we all end up in the ground .. Spirituality is a way of coping with that reality. A way of taking someone away from the pressures of life. and also leads to many more questions from a spiritual stand point.. What happens when we die? Heaven/hell/a paradise of some kind. It gives hope and comfort to the one who grieves. I also think it gives us something to do. Mankind being who he is wants to rationalize everything which leads to more and more religions, cults, even wars. Though i do ask myself sometimes. WHY RELIGION? why the desire to worship something or someone? or even the desire to be worshiped or idolized? Something that is just embedded in us as humans?
  13. off topic sorta- are you still living with that indian guy, is he still trying to convert you?
