  1. You think any of that has to do with the illegals coming in or is it just those shitty Americans you hate doing all those crimes?
  2. After the air is out of the bag and you wait a day then what? Is it supposed to be cooked then? I wonder if anyones ever turned a wagyu steak into jerky.
  3. I didn't say I've never had them. I don't typically try to cook them. I've cooked a rib eye before but wasn't impressed. Will try again. Will try harder. Like a sweaty try hard neck beard.
  4. You know who knows how to make some good food is @where I'd be interested to hear his ideas for a few different kinds of steaks. I will try rib eye soon because of you @Elena Delle Donne Thank you for confidence boost.
  5. Dang that's something I haven't had before. We are fortunate here in central and south Texas to have access to prime New York strips at HEB. they sell a few different things in prime grade but I usually just get ny strip because I don't know what I'm doing with the other steaks. taking my friend to Texas road house tomorrow night for his birthday. The one by me is owned by Willy Nelson and it's full of artwork of him and his music bros. Cool joint always packed.
  6. Those little kiosks guilt trip people way harder than an idle tip jar with a funny quote packing taped to it. edit: and really.... for that reason, they're genius af for a business to use. I wish I had thought of and invented those things.
  7. Yeah..... and I am not the type to go full Karen on people that are just trying to make a living..... but since when does the establishment offering a service get to EXPECT something out of the customer? Kinda crazy if you look at it in that light and I hadn't before you mentioned it @Dark_Knight
  8. I wasn't able to play the demo, so I assume that is where this "no server browser" thing I keep hearing is coming from. It definitely has a server browser. I do have some complaints about the game but they aren't what you'd hear reading game reviews.
  9. Another favorite is making hobo packs for camping. onion, garlic, thin slice sausage, potatoes cubed, cut green beans, olive oil, salt, and pepper..... all of this goes in a foil pouch that is closed with no holes poked in it. I can put on a clinic for how to fold the pouch too because I'm also a master at that if anyone would like to attend the seminar. Cook on small coleman stove for 45 minutes. Can add cheese when done. but.... don't want to derail a steak thread. 😄 What kind of niche things are you, in your mind, really good at making? Thank you for the thread @mr.yuck
  10. I don't recall but if I had to make a wild stab I'd say it was just an hour or two. The brine is acidic so it will easily get into the chicken meat. on a different but related subject using baking soda on beef causes the Maillard reaction to to occur easier. If you put a little on steak you'll get a good sear on it. I haven't done it but a few times but I think next time I'd melt a tablespoon of butter and add the baking soda to that so that the surface area of the coating would be way higher than trying to spread powder on the steak. Anyway don't want to derail from chicken here.
  11. Getting rid of real cash registers and switching to these ipad smart kiosks for payment has ushered in this "tip for everything" idea. I just hate it when the hipster operating the damn thing spins it around towards you and says "it's going to ask you a couple of questions." What they mean to say is, "it's going to ask you if you want to help me make more money than my employer agreed to pay me because I don't understand what it actually takes to get a pay raise for myself in life." Working for tips is a spider's life.
  12. Trouble is mad as hell at this puppy. Lol. IMG_6689.MOV
  13. I've noticed the same thing man. It's very weird. However, I still played, just less..... and i'm back to chiefin again. Been wilding the fuck out on BF2042. Don't listen to what those "expert game reviewers" say..... they're basically the "face book fact checkers" of the video game industry. Faggots.
  14. Bro, I worked my ass off to get where I am. I moved back to Austin in 2010 and accepted a job making 35k/yr. The fact that anyone here is "investing" is a good thing, it's not what the normies typically do.... and it IS what most everyone that has more money than they need does.
  15. Better not shoulder that pistol brace.
  16. one of these for Mom Habz..... CZ Scorpion Evo S2
  17. I'm fairly certain brining in pickle juice is one of the secrets that Chik Fil A uses to have such tender/juicy fried chicken. I brined and then used the chicken to make chicken nuggets.... they were very flavorful and didn't taste like dried out ashy white meat.
  18. I think Amazon is crooked af. I stopped using them a long time ago and have been just fine finding other places to get stuff from. It's almost as if they never existed to me now. I'm sick of seeing these stupid commercials about how Amazon pays people 15 dollars an hour. That's cute and it sounds great, but $15/hr isn't really a lot of money for anyone..... especially not with this inflation. Make no mistake either, this isn't some "natural inflation"..... this is a direct result of policy. How cool is $15/hr when 1gal of milk costs $8. Or your fuel, horse piss grade 85 or 87 octane costs over $5/gallon. This "high pay" for warehouse/courier work is a numbers game for people that don't understand economics very well.
  19. Any of ya'll ever brine chicken in pickle juice before? I have and it turns out fantastic. I want to try brining in jalapeno juice next because it's the same kinda thing except spicier.
  20. You don't understand how investing works if you say this. Firearms and land have both increased in value by a ton since the faggots got all faggy in the media. Same thing with vehicles. You guys heard about what it's like to try to buy a car right now and how much the price is marked up on everything, used and new? I own 9 cars, most of which are "desirable" vehicles in some shape or form. I could part them out if I wanted to or sell them for more than I paid for them. Holding your crypto is not an investment if your gains are unrealized. Watching your "money" gain and lose value on some little chart doesn't do anything until you "sell". I have positions in a few different stocks that are doing rather well. I made 800% on DWAC, sold my risk out of it, so even if it goes to zero it was good game..... it won't, so everything in there is profit for me at this point. I've got crypto that I've had for a very long time as well that is doing better than what I paid for it. I have also sold the risk out of all of my crypto long ago too..... so everything past that is straight profit. I participate in a small signal group chat with one of my very successful brothers, one of my very successful business owner friends, and another friend that has been mining and messing with NFTs since before most people had any clue about any of this stuff. That's the guy I sold my USB asic miner that caused one of Raven's buddies to say I lied about having in 2011.... because they "didn't exist" back then lol. My friend just set up a mineral oil cooled mining rig that will fetch ~27k a year after electricity is subtracted. I dunno man, I fuck around with some people that have money. The investing thing is just kinda a yolo game for me since i have a good paying job already (nearly 200k/yr in TC). The gang box is plumbed now and filled with mineral oil for cooling. I helped with the networking setup of this mining rig.... but that's probably just a lie too.
