suburbian bum Posted September 7, 2004 Share Posted September 7, 2004 I bought that book. At first I was like dude sweet!!! but then i realized its kindof dry and tries to cover too much shit. It tries to cover punk skateboarding, graffiti, street art, contemporary art and hip hop and say that somehow they are very connected. there was some cool things in it, I liked the stuff on Barry Mcgee. Another interesting fact is how it keeps talking about how all this art is anti-corporate and all that fun stuff then in the back it sais : "The exibition and catolog are generously supported by Virgin Mobile and Nike." And there is a nice fat virgin mobile label. Normally I wouldnt give a fuck about this, but it is very contracdictory. So overall a pretty good book with a couple bad essays and a lot of good photos.
