12packprophet
i disagree, im in my mid thirties and i know what i want in life. real estate in america only goes up in value especially in places where its somewhat or off the grid, if i decide i dont want to live there full time i go somewhere else its that fucking easy and i have a vacation home or i sell it and make profit$$$ Actually property values go down during recessions. You know, like the one we're in. And when you get over your little Bear Grylls fantasy and decide to move back to civilization it's not as easy as just picking up and moving because you're still gonna be stuck paying the property taxes on this worthless piece of land that nobody is in any rush to buy from you because it's in fucking no mans land. Tavaruawon
"If I could buy property anywhere...?" You guys would definitely not know about it. So here's two places where I will never be purchasing property- Down south. Up north. A friend just purchased land in Southern Oregon, via the internet. He doesn't know how to use the webs, basically. So he went in blind on the deal and got ultimately fucked. He didn't do the proper research and assumed that all land is good when you're talking 10-15 racks. Things like water access, wells... meh I didn't read the thread because it was so long and densely packed with insightful information. So I'm unaware of how you are acquiring this property. But don't go about it as that one dude did.

There's a huge difference between "outside of a city" and no mans land. The suburbs are outside of a city. Farm land is outside of the city. Rich people want to live in the suburbs but still be able to drive to the city. Farmers want to live in the country so that they can grow crops. Or raise cows and shit. You're talking about some worthless, frozen piece of Alaska that is completely cut off from civilization and has absolutely no potential of value to anybody. I'm just conveying my thoughts on the thread that you posted on the internet for people to comment on. But like I said, it's your money bro. Do as you want with it. But be sure you really think it through instead of blowing your money on some whim.
