Two winters ago I did no heat and no hot water, I was also stealing food. 40k is la la land to a lot of people. You think that dude working at mcdonalds is making 40k a year? That dude that pumps your gas? You think they travel back home to New Hampshire or Maine when their job is done because the city is "too expensive" for them?
