heavyLox
seeks from what i understand ableton live works with midi files... and for the brief time i was messing with it I could find an easy way to convert mp3s to midi files. And pretty much since the first time i heard the term MIDI until now MIDI makes no sense and is a STUPID music nerd term the means DONT TELL HEAVY. use serato. SpyD
MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Midi is just instructions, sorta like digital sheet music. The soft synths do the actual work. Ableton plays mp3s etc. I've never used it to mix though

seeking
was i somehow initially vague? ha. i want to know which formats the songs must be in and how to import them, so that i can mix them and create a mix cd. i want to be able to match beats, i want to be able to fade, etc. i want to do everything that one might want to do when making a basic mix cd. i do not want live instruments. i do not want extra instruments. i do not want t make my own song. i want to take a bunch of lil wayne, and mix it with a bunch of other shit. does anyone know how to do such a thing?
