This year the shitty-assed Source awards are/were doing a special segment to pay tribute to the old school but it wound up that it wasn't going to be televised, so Kurtis Blow, Whodini & Big Daddy Kane pulled out.

If I get my new pirate satellite hooked up in time, I'll be watching VH1 on the 12th.

P.S. Fuck them Sugarhill bitches.

you gotta remember it is from a "VH1" perspective. Str8 from the station that gives you all of the no-rap versions of your favorite videos. How dare Viacom delegate that type of program to them. Maybe on MTV2.

And how much crack did they give Dj AJ to show them around the Bronx to re-live the days of Kool Herc ?

i caught some of it for the past couple of nights; shit's cool.

i especially like it when they start talking about the

rise of gangster rap and the LA riots. :burn:

"what is the name of your rap group"

Eazy E: Niggas With Attitude

brings back memories.
