rubbish heap two
an interesting article....... http://outside.away.com/outside/bodywork/200511/strong-bones-1.html interesting about low impact vs. high impact, but whoever wrote that doesn't know shit about nutrition at all. it's okay, most mainstream health publications don't either i guess. Fist 666
i think tailwhips are probably the sexiest trick on bicycles, period. sure double fronts and 720s and all of that are hugely impressive, but something about a tailwhip... its beautiful. and i'm drunk. not super, but enough. i had arrogant bastard on tap for the first time tonight. it was grand. Joker
I was just reading about Andy Hampsten and his Giro win. The Passo Di Gavia ride was pretty intense. I think I would have pulled to the side of the road for the team car, but he and Erik Breukink sloshed through the elements for one of the most epic days in bike racing history. And now Rapha is selling a commemorative jersey that is limited to 600 pieces, to celebrate that day. The day Andy took the Maglia Rosa and held it, to become the first American to win the Giro D'italia.

Ko SprueOne
Does that also include Taiwan? There are some decent enough mid-level MTB coming out of there; Giant, Iron Horse, Kona's I'm personally not a fan but some people ride them hard and they stand up well to it. I really don't understand why you don't like Chinese made bikes when they supply quality like this! Nah, in all seriousness, China is in mass production stage whilst it builds up. The next generation of producers are going to move from cheap, mass production to skilled, niche production. Then I think you'll see some quality stuff coming out of here. There is already a small trials, DH and XC scene starting here. That's going to grow along with the middle class. That's when I'll be buying the cheap priced better quality kit! Bring that shit on! For now, I stick with the US brands like Cannondale and Foes! Nice 20" ! Dig the size of that bike lane! pretty lady

soupBDC
Andy Hampsten has the life. Wine tours on bikes in italy. Home in the Tuscany hills growing and canning olive oil. One of the guys at Rivendell works as a tour guide for Andy in the summer. If I knew italian i'd be fucking begging him for a job. That jersey probably costs more than my frame. HESHIANDET
the rides on his tour are supposed to be no fucking joke. ive reada few men's mag articles on them. http://www.cinghiale.com/
KM4RT
^ They seem a bit expensive. I'd probably struggle on their 2 Pig Tour.
Joker
Definitely expensive but when you consider what you're getting, most of all... peace of mind, the price doesn't seem that bad. Seems about right. Still too much for me though. I like how they stress over and over again the difficulty of their rides and you should be in shape. There was even a little dig at people who spend tons of money on a super nice bike but can't ride it. I wonder if there's anything like this for Boulder during the summer months? Fist 666
I lived in boulder for 7 years and I'm not aware of such tours. The local scene is big enough though that if you show up at just about any coffee shop in North Boulder before 0700 on any morning, or go to any of a few great LBS you can find rides to cover the whole front range. I assume you know a few riders there, but if you're interested I can give you numbers of some riders/shops in boulder or fort collins. Joker
Yep. I went for a ride this morning and it was really nice out. We still got plenty of rainy days left to come but its getting to the point where there's a bunch of nice days thrown in as well. After this long ass wet winter... the sun is a welcome sight. Got the new bike back on the road too...
rubbish heap two
Nice, how'd you go about getting it repaired/warrantied? I did indeed go to Alpenrose today. Shit wears out my lungs but it's a great workout, concentrating on getting comfortable sprinting in sprinters lane and just doing a lot of laps with intervals of sprint intervals mixed in. 49x16 is working pretty well on track, I like to get real high RPM's going... And nothing beats riding up to the Alpenrose sign on turn 1, carving down the wall halfway through the turn then going for an all out dash in the sprinter's lane. Sooo much fun, almost like skating a bowl. picture to illustrate what i'm sayin...
