I feel ill...

I hope Rasmussen and Contador aren't doping too. That would seriously put me off the summer Pro Tour racing schedule for a good while. I don't think I could handle reading about another idiot who thought he could slide under the radar and get away with it.

I'm going for a ride... clean.

Okay.. Maybe some of you can help me out here...

I'm looking into getting a bike, just to fuck around on.. Maybe ride to work since it isn't that far.. .Hop on a train type deal and ride around... No trails.. Would be all street...

It's gonna be used for sure and I'm only looking to spend around $300..

So what type of bikes are good to look into?? Name wise...

I'm about 6'0" tall... So the bike should be about 22" frame or 62cm.. I think that's what I gathered...

At $300 and used... and a size 62cm, brands aren't what's important. It's what is going to be available to you, in that size, at that price range, in your area, that will be important. Keep an eye on Craigslist obviously. A road bike is going to be a little more aggressive than a mountain bike so the style of bike depends on your "style" of riding. You can buy a mtb and put slicks on it or you can buy a road bike and be ready to go.

I've been looking on Craigslist just to get an idea... Most likely that's where I'll buy from... I imagine my style will include riding drunk... But mostly just to get around when I take the train instead of driving.. Downtown Los Angeles and whatever...

i bought mine off ebay. dead stock for under 300 bucks with shipping from a few states away. theres alot of shops or people who refurbish or find pretty much dead stock bikes and sell them close to or near mint condition. thats where id start. I dont know everything about bikes technically but ive been riding them for a good amount of time. its definitely important to know what type of stance you prefer. if youre unfamiliar with road bikes Id suggest going to a shop and trying out a few different types and see what does and doesnt work for you. that way you can ask some questions when you talk to a seller.

theres bike swaps every month or so at the encino velodrome if you can make it out to one of those.

and riding in LA is kind of fun, just watch out for the main streets on fri-sat nights. tons of drunk drivers.

altho a different story when youre drunk...

very nice anchor rubbish.

those bottecchias are fake, nothing to do with the italian manufacturer,

somebody bought the name and is making them as budget bikes.

a piece back i bought my lady an 05 flite 100. i got the 53 figuring 53 to be ST height.

instead it was top tube length, but anyway it was a little too big and she didnt ride it much.

recently i got an offer to get an 07 frameset for $150 from the factory through our rep.

today her 50cm frame came. it is pretty sick. flat black.

spent the afternoon swapping the parts.

crazy short wheelbase.

crazy pedal overlap.
