Around here the temp doesnt go below 0 (celsium) january is fucked, feb is kinda milder and march is always the coldest in its first 15 days or so. Guest imported_Tesseract Posted January 17, 2004 Share Posted January 17, 2004 Lets clarify this: Its all in the preparation, gyros is made like this: http://www.athensguide.com/photos/souvlagyro.jpg As the bunched up slices of meat revolve(gyros means round) in that machine which has a vertical grill on one side they get cooked slowly...when you chop out some to put it in a pita you take the cooked meat and reveal the raw which takes his way on being cooked..etc..etc..etc..lately they started doing it with chicken as well, really dope. Souvlaki: Is like this: http://www.athensguide.com/photos/souvstreet.jpg little pieces of meat stuck on a stick and grilled. Now, because i want you to be on the wonk side of this world, wonk this: When you order a souvlaki you get just the stick with the meat. When you order a pita souvlaki you get the same thing wraped on a pita along with tomato, tzatziki, onions and pepper.
