Skag
Nah its just like normal ink like Pilot or something. I've heard it doesn't stain that well and can fade pretty easy. Indoorsman kicks ass.
DE?!
has anyone ever added Dykem ink to there ink? in school we use the layout fluid but i dont know how permanent it is, i use it alot and it sticks to metal well but you can still scratch it out, maybe it could be used in ink, we have red and blue here. heres the site, they have markers also http://www.dykem.com/ProductFamily.cfm?familyID=449bcc1f-f8c3-44a8-9d5b-e4c19920c109&searchType=product
heirkb
^^^i dunno. i get the feeling that it can only do what that liquid shoe shine does: fuck your ink up. i say that cause it says it dries up into a film, just like that liquid wax shoe shine does...you can try it on a marker sized batch of ink though and then tell us the result... androidx
I haven't had that specific marker, but I can say that most the dykem markers I've used before have been on my good side.

They are so loaded with stainers that if you paint over them, even if the ink is has been dry for week, the paint gets stained from the inside out. I have personally seen this happen in multiple spots. If it's a darker color then it doesn't work so well, but any light color buff will get the bleed through on the first two coats. Was interesting to watch.

TURKMURKS
Searchin so hard for that griffin.. so hard to find. hard as hell to find in chicago too.i think stores dont sell it cause everybdy steals it.
DoItHeyDoIt
Im going to have to check that out. The bassment on Ashland is alright, but the people that work there always check you out with that "what chou right?" kinda look. Lame. I think its time to invest in some do em dirty inside blue, since that, and the purp (chicago's own inside killer), are the only thing that stains CTA. Does anyone know if they have DED there? yeah they got it there.....i dunno if they got the original bottles of it....they definitely got the mops tho... acanz
The Dykem Bleed Thru is a good marker but it doesnt bleed through as well as it shows from what Ive seen, and its not that big. Everyone knows how good Dalos are so Im not going to say anything about them, and today I just picked up a 2oz of the red layout fluid and an 8oz blood of opaque red metal stain. The first thing I noticed is the 2oz is the same body/nib as DED mops, and if you pop out the valve it drips like crazy. I got some on my knife and dry paint thinner (the only thing I had to try to clean it) and scratching wont remove it at all. The metal stain is the same way, but Im guessing paint thinner wouldnt be used for buffing either way so Im going to test it out on some stuff that constantly gets buffed (the stuff they use takes krink and purple garvey off plastic and metal like its nothing, not even a ghost is left) and see how the industrial stuff lasts. =) http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem001.jpg Layout fluid http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem002.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem005.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem/dykem006.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem/dykem007.jpg Metal stain (its dark red not orange) http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/acanz/dykem/dykem008.jpg

Blaise Pascal
Smeero did an etch tag over my marker tag, looks like the ink is permantly stained on the glass now. Which is why I figured you could mix a lil ink in your etch to make colored etch. I have a fealing it might work. Put a couple drops of ink in your etch and see. not a good idea
